So you think this is frustration born out of a couple match results 2 years and 65 pages into a thread? Which isn't to say I'm expecting anything less. Being snide to every post that might disagree with you isn't exactly helping anything I'm not putting down or dismissing how you feel, I just said I'm surprised, that's all. I get the unease of if they follow up and that it was losses, but Starks and Hobbs looked made tonight, and did in fact have the best matches of their careers I want to praise the performers for that, if they don't follow up it's a huge whiff on the companies part, but them being featured as they are tells me the company gives a shit about them, and Danielson basically said the match was as good as it was BECAUSE of Ricky tonight. Take them to the moon. If I'm snide, and that's not really aggressive just mentioning that you've been kind of hitting the same notes, it's because you've had no post in here that isn't really dismissive of the subject. Like, it's not hard to notice a theme. I feel like you look at it more from the perspective of there being something critical of this product that you love than wondering if segments of the roster aren't really cared for in an even-handed way. There's plenty of the same criticism for the way the women have been booked, kinda just an afterthought at times. I've gone from the original thread and saying that they need more time and not really rushing to judgment to this thread saying that they need to make it a priority, to pointing out that it's really egregious a long time ago to now just losing interest because it's kinda the same thing over and over again. But with you, it's this overarching theme of it'll get better, it'll get better, it'll get better. And it's not that I don't want to believe that, it's that I think we're behind where this topic should be 4 years in to the point where I lose interest in the product. And I really wish you'd try to understand that. It's not that I hate AEW or Tony or you or this sub. It's that it's worn on me to see things that I see in the real world that I'd rather not get reflected in the product. Being a POC and coming up in a black community, you see people get treated different and you hear "Oh well, it's not like that" or "I'm sorry you feel that way" or "You're overreacting" or "You're playing the race card" or "I don't think Person X is like that". It's like you can see something and really, genuinely think "That's not right. I want to see that change." And the kind of pleasantries about it really grate on you after a while. Because while people might mean well, it just comes off more as absolving it. I don't like getting this deep. I'm out.

Stunned that people saw that Hobbs match and that Starks match and said "I'm done with AEW" Not my point to judge but it's crazy to me, they both might've just had the best matches of their entire careers, I get being mad they lost, but this is nowhere near some lost cause. So you think this is frustration born out of a couple match results 2 years and 65 pages into a thread? Which isn't to say I'm expecting anything less.

Yeah, this night is just like all the others. Hey they can kinda make Hobbs with a clean win here. Awww. Hey, they can kinda make Starks with a clean win here. Awww. Oh look, Takeshita gets a clean win over this huge star. It just isn't that important to them, not sure how else to take it at this point. College football is on Saturday nights and Survivor is coming back on Wednesdays, so it works out. Thinking Hobbs or Starks should have won is one thing; complaining they lost while Takeshita won is tantamount to "diversity is just black people". Does not seem necessary and is such a weird American thing. I'm not getting into a diversity pissing contest, but I feel like it's wildly disingenuous to come up with that bad of an argument ignoring the entirety of the discourse of both this entire thread and the one that preceded it even earlier in AEW's run. I'm Mexican btw, so I really dig being told my scope of diversity is only applied to black people. Shoehorning that and American POV in this discussion is a little tone deaf. "You would think X because you are X." Oh buddy. I'm not complaining about Takeshita winning. You're missing my point. But I don't think this is the place for this discussion, so I'll just say I very strongly disagree with your statements and I think they're in worse faith than you may seem to think "Hey, you're being hypocritical" vs genuinely trying to understand where I'm coming from. But I don't think given this starting point that it's fruitful for me to get into it further.

The Starks I can slightly defend just because that match did for his career in one night the previous months with Jericho/Punk. This was a case of looking good in defeat but if you ask me do I believe in TK to follow up on this performance I do not HOWEVER, Hobbs should won. Looks especially shitty when one of the rumored feuds and Ls that Miro turned down was against Hobbs. I can excuse it, but I'm just tired of having to. Which isn't to say that these big, starmaking wins aren't right around the corner, but we've been told to just wait so many times that it feels a lot like Charlie Brown and the football. This sucks.

He owes all of his success to beating up Wheeler Yuta.

Hobbs loses the match and the post-match beatdown. Progress!

This could be the biggest singles win by a black male on the roster. So I'm not holding my breath

If Hobbs loses, I riot. A very safe, 1-man riot.

Florida St last year had Travis running for his life. The protection is better this year, but the WRs are dropping everything.

I really doubt Tony has it in him. He strikes me as a mix of too nice, kinda meek, and just generally too awkward to ever pull of a dastardly heel. Not that I want AEW to be any sort of WWE retread anyway.

Neither of them needs a loss. It would mean more for Hobbs to have a clean victory though.

A comedy of errors. Lots of talent, but also lots of sloppy play on display here.

Darby is probably my favorite homegrown on the roster, and yet I have less than 0 interest in him getting another TNT title run. Keep him away from that belt, it hasn't done anything for anyone in a while.

This FSU/LSU matchup is by far the best matchup of the first few weeks. I'm excited. FSU's QB is houdini and Norvell has hit his stride at playcalling, and LSU is loaded as usual.
