Honestly, if you talk about Legentil, it basically just means "Nick Khan"; it's his guys and connections in media that have really leaned into the whole current way that WWE is shaping media narratives and trying to impact AEW's rights negotiations. Not that they wouldn't have done anything if Vince was still in charge, but the current tactics they're using are very much out of Khan's playbook.

How do we know who are just crazy fans with too much time on their hands to create lots of accounts and post, and who are paid by WWE to be social media trolls?

How do we know who are just crazy fans with too much time on their hands to create lots of accounts and post, and who are paid by WWE to be social media trolls? I assume the ones that follow niche WWE business-related accounts and the PR firms they contract are WWE-sponsored botnets. Because too many people in PR still haven't figured out the utility of making a totally clean burner account for monitoring purposes

I got my feds I like and ones I don't.
Pretty much unless directly asked about a fed I don't like I don't mention them..
For example locally there is 2 feds that I wouldn't goto if I was paid to film. One of those feds has a big steady fanbase. So unless someone asks me "Hey what do you think about Dirty South Wresting",made up a name,I never mention them.
Whatever rating WWE or AEW or whatever gets whatever night doesn't effect how much I enjoyed say ROH last week. Or Impact 3 weeks ago.

Think he’s a little stuck in the 90s and below on that but it’s hard to really definitively say because wwe refused to acknowledge tna back then and aew is certainly not as low as tna was in terms of relevance.
I’d rather each company focus on their own stuff but if they wanna do the Nintendo-Sega thing and that’s what the head honcho wants I guess this is what you get? I just don’t think it helps nowadays.

I think if TNA was ever any kind of real threat to WWE's wrestling hegemony, it would've gotten significantly more attention from Stamford at the time.

TNA never got attention from WWE, true.
Spike TV, however, very much did get attention from WWE. Especially when it came to scheduling programming around one another because that relationship ended that poorly.
EDIT: Interestingly, though, a lot of the stuff happening now media wise (ratings and demos talk, people talking about what a company should do to improve their booking and getting the “casual audience”) happened to TNA in the same way it happened to AEW with Spike TV even saying, like WBD has done, that they’re happy with the ratings Impact was getting.

And this is a case where I hope I can honestly say that I'm growing as a wrestling fan. What did caring about TNA's "unsatisfactory" ratings ever do for me? Did I ever enjoy ROH more by knowing what their financials looked like? Do I care that AJPW was very firmly second place to NJPW in the 90's? I liked ROH better than WWE at a time when ROH was financially precarious, but the wrestling from that era was fun at the time and is mostly fun to revisit now, and I just moved on when ROH changed in ways that made me less likely to watch it. I see no reason to not keep that approach up for whatever promotion I'm watching.

The funny thing was that TNA was getting fantastic ratings for what they were, they just couldn't do a damn thing with that audience. AEW has an absurd conversion rate for PPV buys, solid attendance (even at their lows they were still outdrawing all but the top 10 TNA shows and breaks their record on a monthly basis), and great merch and ad buys even with lower ratings in comparison. The two companies serve very different purposes & show how much entertainment has changed in such a short period

Right, really proving the point by giving AEW YOUR MONEY to do all that. I’ve never understood hate-watching even at a watching on TV level, let alone this.

People who go to AEW shows simply to Simp for Cornette and/or Stan for CM Punk should be permanently banned from AEW shows forever and put on some kind of watchlist.

Imagine giving AEW God knows how much money for those seats just to "stick it" to them. Genuinely pathetic behavior.
