Okay there's still the CL final and the play-off finals but the majority of this thread will probably be spent discussing ridiculous transfer speculation. So have at it folks!

I'm pulling super hard for Blackpool to win that play-off to get back into the Premiership. I grew to love that team last season and it would be awesome for them to bounce right back up.

I was in the Uni library watching the Newcastle/Everton game, switched over with like 2mins left in that game, there were like 5 mins left in the City. When they equalised I got a little excited. When they scored I cheered like crazy, the rest of my section turned and stared. About 5 seconds later I heard a massive cheer elsewhere which I presume was a bunch of City fans watching the game in another room in the library. It honestly is one of those moments where you will always remember where you were and what you were doing when Sergio Aguero scored that goal. Even as a Newcastle fan I have to admit, it was a special, special moment.

warning there is bad language, bad camera angles, possibly drunken people and a large dollop of bulls*** in the following video i'm looking forward to steve kean trying to wriggle his way out of this one, this was taken last year. Was this just before he got done for drink driving? Up until he started slagging off Big Sam he actually came off ok, well apart from the language obviously. Top 10 in the league? Ok then. I'm guessing this was taken around January time right? i'm guessing start of the season or possibly christmas, doesnt help that he went on to purposely lose against cardif and admitted it to the press.

GO THE POOL!!! since i went on holiday there decades ago, always had a soft spot for the tangerines ..... and the coach station was right next to the stadium, always wanted to go to a game there! absolutely LOVED it when they went up two seasons ago, and was gutted when they went down last season ..... but that's football i guess

Hope the odds on Martinez being favourite for the Villa job are accurate

Hope the odds on Martinez being favourite for the Villa job are accurate Sounds like either Martinez or Lambert are the favorites. I guess Villa fans are saying Lambert refused to commit his future to Norwich. I can't see Martinez going to Villa after refusing them last year. Villa isn't as bad as they played this year. I think that mostly was McLeish being an idiot. There is talent on the team especially if Bent comes back healthy and Ireland keeps his head on straight. Plus they have Brett Holman coming in.

Martinez is being rumoured for the Liverpool job should Dalglish get sacked (which he should). He's too good for the Villa job. I think Randy Lerner will make the wrong call again as he appears to know nothing about running a football club.

York City Playoff final song. Another bit of news York City Council are meeting on Thursday to discuss the Community Stadium Plans both York City and York Knights (Rugby League team) are going be present. It's open to the Public so anyone near York Area that is intrested in the Stadium and the possbile new Jobs that could come with the Shopping Complex should go along and tell the Council what you think. I'll be there i'm taking the day off Work to show my support. This week is make or break for my football club. only thing comes close is the time we almost went out of business and had go part time for a while. One last thing and i promise i'll stop talking about my team i have renewed my Non League Paper subscription without even thinking about fact come next issue we might not even be in Non League . I hope Blackpool, Sheffield United and Crewe win the play offs in Football League.

It boggles the mind that Man City can field a player of the calibre of Vincent Kompany (and I mean calibre of person) and that of Carlos Tevez at the same time.
Congratulations, Carlos. The club's first championship in 44 years and you make it all about United again.
I'm not a sore loser and I want to congratulate City and its fans on their victory, especially a player like Kompany, but then Tevez has to go and pull something dumb like the "RIP Fergie" stunt.
I want to be magnanimous in defeat, but pieces of human excrement like Tevez make it hard.
Anyway, as much as it kills me, mad props to City and its fans. That was a thrilling and well deserved win.
Thanks for keeping our trophy warm, though. Rest assured, the vengeance with which United will return should not be wished upon anybody.

I'm with everyone on the Blackpool front but just because I still hate Fat Sam. I just think it's funny to keep West Ham in the Championship. Saw Blackpool play this year and was really impressed. Holloway has done a great job considering they have no particular stand out players, it's just a really good team he's built there.

Apparently the "RIP Fergie" poster was made by a fan and was in response to a Ferguson comment earlier this season that "City will never win the title in his lifetime". I know that this doesn't make it not insensitive and that Tevez should have shown better judgment, but knowing the context, to me, makes it less outrageous.

It's still incredibly stupid. Most people won't have heard or seen the context, just the picture with the banner. All credit to Mancini and City for apologising though.
