(Katniss taking her sister, Prim's spot in the Hunger Games.) The Reapings The Reapings are the televised event where each District is featured, where they give in tribute, two young people between the ages of from 10-21, male and female, through a lottery. Sometimes a person can volunteer to take the place of another.
===
It was the holiday season, even deep into this present, the Nation of Panem, has kept with the tradition of exchanging gifts, with celebrations and festive lighting, for the Annual "Snow Day" season. Name after the start of the Snow fall, and of course over the glorious leader himself. The old holiday name, only a sketch in the History books. The Government themselves helped decorate the city beautifully, which included the use of a certain wire.
The Rebels explored the city, amazed by the spectacle it had become. They were given their chance of course to explore and have fun, even shop, if they wanted to. The Capitol did want to seem like good guys after all.
"Wow, this is so pretty, back home didn't have any of these decorations!" Prim gleefully stated, while touring around, with her sister, and her two boys, Peeta and Gale.
"It's very nice but stay still, and don't stray too far away now, sis." "She's right Prim, you never know how things will be, knowing how the Capitol feels about us." Peeta said.
Gale was preoccupied with someone. "Hey, you guys, I'm gonna go off a bit somewhere, I hope you don't mind." Gale ran off, following who he thought was a familiar face of a friend who he hasn't seen in a while.
"Well there he goes again.." Peeta sighed. "Hey, Gale can go exploring, why can't I? There are all sorts of cool things I want to see too!" Prim questioned. "Well, we don't care about him as much." Peeta answered.
"Stop that Peeta!" Katniss didn't like it when Peeta spoke ill about Gale.
She was friends with Gale for years, and she would go as far to say, that they both have some feelings toward each other, but because of the Games, she had to pretend to love Peeta, while also pretending to be 'cousins' with Gale. It's what got President Snow suspicious of them in the first place. Due to the fact that she had a rather handsome 'cousin' who she spent alot of time with, more so then her supposed boyfriend Peeta, who she spent zero time with after the games.
"Cause he's a big boy, and he can take care of himself." Katniss answered. "Now be quiet, we are headed to the Shopping Center."
Peacekeepers, ordered by Snow to keep an eye on the main two Rebels, carefully placed festive lights, around the big Snow Day Tree, powered by the wire.
When they got to the center, Peeta brought Katniss aside, near a clothing store. While Prim sat by bored as can be.
"Katniss, I'm sorry if I offended you about Gale, I know how you feel about him, and I'm sorry."
"Hey guys, they're taking pictures of people near the tree! I wanna go!"
"But you also know how I feel about you, so I don't wanna break the relationship between the two of us like before." Prim runs away from the two.
"Wait up Prim!" Katniss followed her sister, and Peeta brought up the rear.
"Girl on fire, and lover boy are coming closer, men get ready to turn up the voltage." Spoke Clover.
Peeta stopped, as he noticed the sound and power the lights were emitting, something wasn't right. "Katniss Wait! STOP!"
"Oh please Peeta, can we talk about that later?!" Katniss began, but stopped as Prim went near the tree going near the cord which would trigger the trap. That's when the lights sparked.
The tree started zapping electricity left and right, as it starting catching fire. Prim started screaming, as electricity zapped against her. The tree started burning up, dropping lights, which wrapped around the poor girl. She was wrapped with wires, shocking her to death.
"Prim!" Katniss ran toward her but she was tackled down by Peeta. "Get off me! Nooooooo!"
The civilians watched the horrible accident as the little girl glowed yellow. Peacekeepers quickly butted in as they put out the fire, and turn out the electricity.
Katniss ran toward the body of her sister, dark now. She hugged her, as she wept, the whole night long, even to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
===
"Sorry, Mr. President, we were so close, but that stupid little sister of hers had to get in the way." Clover said on her transmitter. "At least they lost their healer, and possibly some morale over her too."

(Romulus Thread's Public Whipping of Gale Hawthorne, for illegal hunting of a turkey.) "Peacekeepers" Peacekeepers. The name sounds peaceful enough, that they try to keep the peace alive. However, due to the corruption of the government, this new form of law enforcement has caused, instead caused fear. They are the strict enforcer's of the Capitol's will, and will make sure the citizens remember that, no matter what the means.
===
Gale followed, the familiar face to a shelter near the Government's science testing area. He climbed over a fence and followed.
"Hey wait a minute! Wait, Don't you remember me?" Gale asked.
The person turned around, and nodded, but didn't say a word. He mouthed something to Gale, with a look of terror in his eyes.
"No, it can't be. I just don't wanna believe it. You're a...." THUNK.
Head Peacekeeper Romulus Thread, smashed the side of his gun to Gale's head.
"You again? First it was illegal hunting, then now trespassing on secret government grounds? This is absurd. Men, take this piece of crap, and prepare him for a public lashing!" Thread looks at one of his men, suspiciously. "Well? Go on!"
===
The citizens watched as Gale was tied in the middle of the city's square. Peacekeepers guarding the area, including one very reluctant and quiet peacekeeper.
"Remember to those of you who consider breaking the law! If you trespass on government grounds you will be punished severely! This Rebel, was found spying in on our secret government grounds. Perhaps finding a way to destroy the Capitol, through sneaky, nefarious and underhanded tactics, when the President has already given them a fair chance through the Hunger Games! Do you all really want to trust such a faction who would do these sort of things!" Thread said in preparation for the public lashing.
*WHIP* *WHIP *WHIP* over and over x 100.
"GALE!" Katniss ran to stop the punishment, after hearing about it while crying depressed at the hospital with her sister.
"Go ahead, and take him, he's been punished enough already." Thread, says as he unties the young man, throwing him into the ground, his blood flowing from his back into the snow. "Run along now, nothing to see here."
===
Katniss sat with Gale at his Hospital bed. It turned out, Gale had suffered a serious concussion, in addition to his infected whip wounds.
Katniss, held hands with Gale, as Peeta watched from the doorway. Tears fell from her eyes, as she watched his life line, go flat. Crap. 2 night kills?? Neither from our vig. This blows. For now FoS: Ravishing/Sweet N Sour. U got some 'splainin' to do. I would offer more but the past few days have sucked the big one. Getting over food poisoning is NOT fun.

It's good to be here. Thanks for letting me join!
Time for us to get back to getting back at those capital scum!
Two night kills seems odd. If the vig didn't kill someone, we theoretically could have had 4 night kills each night(plus the hitman, who may have been able to kill at night too.
Looks like ritt v1 had an item that could kill at night(wire) that was stolen, but I was thinking that it was a defensive item, so that is confusing.
I'll address anything specific on monday about anything done by my predecessor. Just let me know.

Sorry I tried to put a focus on the Capitol as a bigger threat than the SK without meta-gaming, but just ended looking scummy. Well now with the SK out of the way we can move on. I want to hear more from Sweet on his suspects but it is hard to determine his scumminess with the so little we have to go on from Ravishing.

pegasus -- why do you keep your information tightly sealed until after a lynch occurs? It's great you are picking up on leads, and are seeing things that others aren't -- but why not come to the forefront with your information in order to help the town members lynch those that you have found proof to be scummy? I understand if you don't want to reveal your entire playing card, but maybe just a nugget of information to show the town what you're thinking could work wonders, I think. Then again, maybe you have been hinting at a lot of things, but I just never picked up on them. I do wonder if we'll be seeing any counter claims being made during the next day phase, and it's looking like we are well on our way to victory now without a serial killer to worry about. There is a lot about this post that doesn't set well with me. I was right about the SK and after posting my saved document following the SK kill, I'm told I need to come to the forefront with my information? Al Bundy made the initial vote against Mr. Emoticon, but I pushed for his lynch all the way through Day 3. He can say . . . I think pegasus might have as well -- it was a lot to digest at once, what with the whole Emoticon claiming himself as Snow thing. . . . but my claim (and D-2's) was clearly the turning point for the Emoticon lynch. A lot of votes had shifted in a lot of different directions with key contributors like Sweet N Sour and Al Bundy even changing votes and suspicions temporarily away from Emoticon in the process. He would have had to completely ignored everything that transpired in his absence to have missed that. And also with that last line in the December 16th quote post above that forewarned against counter-claiming on Day Four, I think it was strategy in that his only way to get the heat off of him on this day would be to claim a character yet to be taken and then point back to this post as a way of claiming "I told you it would happen" when the *real* owner of that character stepped forward. Emoticon had the power to kill anyone... if he was really suspicious of me, why didn't he night kill me on one of the first two nights? We butted heads back and forth the first day, if you remember correctly. Why let me live if he had suspicions of me? truly, the serial killer would have an easier time winning the game if he was able to night kill those that he suspected as mafia -- if they flipped mafia, it would be easier for him to hide in the townspeople that were still left, and easier to pick his next victim. At least, that's what I think I would do as a serial killer. This is a clencher. I don't think a town member would even attempt an argument like that. ritt already pointed out the major flaw in this statement. How in the world would Emoticon have HIDDEN if he killed Latino and Latino was mafia? The purple would have clearly indicated a SK took out the mafia, so if the first part of Latino's argument was true, then Emoticon wouldn't be hiding at all because the write-up would reveal clearly the SK did it. Pretty much a set of flashing lights for the town to lynch Emoticon as the SK. I think this post is a slip-up of Jazzman-like proportions. "Dead: Mr Emoticon Man, TF Fan aka Enobaria, Third Party, Serial Killer." What. The. f***. Oh please. Was it that big of a surprise? Overcompensation from the perspective of a nervous mafia member. VOTE: Latino Meat is InsaneHe's also voted multiple times for people later proven to be district rebellion. hmm... i can agree with that D2... mostly just because of the vibe i get off of Ravishing which i admit is probably biased. it is a little flimsy though... i guess we'll have to wait and see if MEM is who he says he is before we can really start figuring out who we should lynch next. maybe i did jump the gun as Ritt said before by not waiting... i just didn't want to wait for more nighttime shenanigans where we could possibly lose someone who would point out a view that could really help us out. i wanted to get as many ideas out as possible while we still could Here we see that something can be gained from a scruffy lynch. If scruffy goes and flips town, then I can consider Ravishing One near or at the top. But scruffy has had a lot of "mis-conceptions" about players throughout this game. And he's done a nice job of trying to come across as a floundering townie who has been mislead. I think scruffy played a nice game, but it's he and Latino Meat that are mafia, I think. At the same time, the new Ravishing One replacement makes me less confident about scruffy than I originally was. (See below) I would say the protector should protect herself tonight. She will be incredibly valuable at the end of the game on the chance we have a misstep. Add to the fact that crud is an incredible asset for the town with his well thought out ideas. I completely agree. I thought that was what was going to happen. I wanted to post about this, but I didn't want to give the mafia any flashing lights about what strategy the town was definitely going to use. Also, I wished the vigilante would have gone ahead and targetted Ravishing One. Town or mafia, either way, I think there is more to be lost in the confusion that results from a replacement player taking on a whole new persona than to "accidentally" hit a potential townie who hasn't been active from the get-go. I know having a replacement player offers options about who Ravishing One really was, BUT he wasn't active at all, so could he really have had a role in the mafia attacks and strategy? I say no way. And Sweet N Sour is a good player, in my opinion. So, if Ravishing One was scum or if he was town, just from the respect I have of Sweet N Sour as a player, I am going to be wary of everything he says. He post following the last Night already gives me the heebie-jeebies as a townie.

Pegasus, thank you for finally being upfront about your thoughts on the game. Shame it was directed to me, though. I wasn't the only one wondering why you concealed your information until after the lynching occurred, by the way. Now, when it comes to the Emoticon Man being killed, I was surprised that he was the serial killer. I had thought we had the President Snow in our sights, as that is what he roleclaimed. So, not only was Snow still alive, but Emoticon had been deceiving us all. And I can only wonder how much of his "help" to the town were lies, and not based on his own agendas. He wasn't an asset to the town, being a serial killer, so why should we have believed anything he had said throughout the duration of the game? As far as my past voting is concerned, most people that have voted have voted for people that would end up turning town. Feels like you're grasping at straws here. We lost two power roles last night -- we need to regroup and readdress our focus as a whole, I think. Having said that, I think we should look towards the Ravishing/Sweet character next and see if there is any positive information that can help us win that they can give us. Ravishing has been a lurker/inactive the entire game... which has only hurt the town. I've always said this game, communication is the key to winning. And already Sweet has hit us with a non-communicating-type post. We do not have to rush to a lynch, and I've said that in past days -- since that will give us a better feel for how everyone reacts to each other.

Just let me know. ok Sweet... in all honesty i've been against Ravishing for awhile now so your in a tough spot with me but i'm not going to condemn you right off the bat like i did with Ritt. your still on my radar but right now there's not enough to go off of to vote for you. i believed you to be the SK and since it is obvious my assumption was off i now have to reset and try to figure out whats happening. seeing as your one of the few people that can be mafia though means that your still going to be on my radar. Now picking up something you touched on... I believe the wire was a one use item as it doesn't discuss them picking it up or talking about using it again. (although i could be wrong since were not supposed to look into the write-ups too severely) and i too thought it was a defensive item as Ritt1 seemed extremely confident that he was safe and so did his character in the write up when he seemed to be using the wire as a defensive item... but then it was used to kill the healer so that seems to make no sense... so is it possible that they now have two ways to kill us every day or was it just a one time thing? Pegasus your thoughts on me are completely just and i will fully admit to having been on the wrong end of things multiple times but so have most of us... hell we've killed as many of our own in lynches as we have of scum but i want to assure you that just like the rest of you, am trying to find mafia members. one question though... why do you believe it's me and Latino? we've hardly agreed with eachother... we've disagreed on many points... the only time we really interacted was at the start when i thought him to be a scared townie (not too sure now but still not enough to vote for him yet) i'm just asking because its odd that you'd draw a line between us when we've hardly interacted at all i don't have any true ideas yet... but the two who stand out to me right now are Sweet and Meat... right now though i'm still leaning more towards Sweet.

Those left unclaimed:
Latino Meat Michael Hayden Oblivion Sorceress Ravishing One / SNS v2.0 Scruffy
Total left alive 11
6 claimed 5 unclaimed
Known mafia roles: Roleblocker Godfather Thief?
So, assuming scruffy is right and that the wire is a one time use item, we have a lynch that happens every day, and a mafia hit that happens every night. Running the numbers, if the town targets an unknown every day, they should outlast the mafia. But if Scruffy is wrong and they can use that wire again, today is crucial in nailing a mafia member.
Some basic rationale:
1) With the doctor gone, mafia has free reign to pick off anyone they choose. My guess is that the vigilante is the next to go.
2) Mafia still have their role blocker. It was probably used on crud/primrose to prevent him from healing(just in case he was protecting one of their targets). This will probably be used against the vigilante to prevent her from picking off another one of the unclaimed.
3) Mafia won't be targeting any of the unclaimed now. It would be unwise for them to make the unclaimed pool smaller. They can hide much easier in a crowd.
I hope people don't put too much weight on what some unclaimed say about other unclaimed. Keep in mind that either side may still be mafia. And mafia is going to do everything they can to keep one of their members alive. For each day we misfire, it is another day that this game lasts, and another night kill that they get to use.
Some input that may be useful later(in the event I do get lynched):
I am town... But i'm the only one that KNOWS that right now. That being said, for me that leaves 3 mafia members amongst the other 4 unclaimed. Two of these(Latino and Scruffy) have already pointed at me at being the "most suspicious". While I don't blame them, I know that at least one of these two is mafia. And there's a pretty good chance that the other is as well.

My leads to the Ravishing character being mafia all go back to the very first impulse vote for me that he did on the first day. I thought I was merely prodding him, and he went and counter-suspicion me.
That was scummy enough on my radar to think that it was just an "OMGUS" vote/FOS, and wasn't beneficial to the town, since he didn't use anything I said against me... no rhyme or reason for singling me out other than I put up a case against him.
Since he never really participated again, that stuck out in my mind as my last memory of him. If you, Sweet, can prove otherwise, then I am definitely open to reinterpreting things and putting my time and energy forth towards someone that is truly mafia.
That is, if you're telling the truth and your character isn't mafia.
As for us having a vigilante on our side... why didn't we have a vigilante kill last night? I'm confused. If there is a roleblocker, and he roleblocked crudulak, how would we not have had a vigilante night kill?

As for us having a vigilante on our side... why didn't we have a vigilante kill last night? I'm confused. If there is a roleblocker, and he roleblocked crudulak, how would we not have had a vigilante night kill? I'll respond to this for now... need to look up the ravishing vote you are talking about. Roleblock/kill doctor means you know you kill a major power role this time. Yea, the vigilante is still out there, but by killing the doctor you assure you wont have any more problems later. Kill the doctor now, and you wont have to keep using your role block on him on future days. Makes alot of sense. As for the vigilante, maybe she decided not to use her ability(she didn't on night 1). Maybe she can only use her role once every other nigt(ie, only on nights 2, 4, 6). I don't know. Only she could tell for sure. I could be wrong and crud targeted someone else other than himself. And the mafia decided to take the risk and target the doctor. Or maybe the doctor can't actually heal herself, and crud just mentioned that he could to throw the mafia off. I don't know for sure. And probably wont til What I do know is that there is a roleblocker, and they have at least one night kill, and the most threatening role to the mafia is the vigilante.

Opps, I thought we were still in Night Phase. >.< Silly me. Dang, we lost our investigator and our doctor?! No surprise about the doctor because he role claimed and of course the mafia would get rid of such an important role. But how did they know about the investigator? He didn't role claim did he? I don't remember if he did. If he didn't maybe this could mean something: What did Jonathan Michaels role claim as? I forgot, I know I should have wrote this stuff down. >.< Was it something we could confirm? If it wasn't maybe that could mean something or maybe I'm chasing up imaginary trees again.
