Am I the only one who generally thinks it's not the best idea younger indy guys to do shoot interviews? I mean, I doubt Davey says anything too blasphemous, but it seems like being in the financial situation that some indy guys are in(not talking specifically DR here. Thinking more about the King situation), it seems dumb to potentially burn bridges early in your career.
But then again, Davey seems to not want to be a wrestler for his entire life, so for him, by all means, do it.

Talk about editing this to make him seem like a major asshole. I mean, I'm not defending the dude, but that video makes him come off as a major douche.

He does have a point at the very end. Some of Cornette's booking ideas are pretty dated.

Least he's honest. He is right though, Cornette is very outdated ... so are the people currently booking TNA though for them to do another angle that is like the NWO.
A lot of people are guilty of being outdated in this business. I'd prefer Cornettes old school style over another NWO style faction

Talk about editing this to make him seem like a major asshole. I mean, I'm not defending the dude, but that video makes him come off as a major douche. It seems like the thing now to put out every shoot video preview with a heavy supervillain soundtrack. I don't get it. I like Davey Richards a lot, he seems like a genuine guy whether you agree with the things he says or not but yeah that music makes this seem far more vicious than it is. I agree with his call on Jim Cornette. He's dated, I like the ROH product right now, and I appreciate the fact that he IS trying to adapt, with taking queues from MMA and treating wrestling like a true sport. That doesn't mean I don't groan when he does things like inviting a bunch of corporate fogies from sponsored companies to the ring and holding lame duck novelty matches with shitty local radio djs as managers. It's definitely lacking a cutting edge that it would take to make it beyond a devoted niche audience.

Every recent shoot preview I've seen with recent ROH guys makes it seem like they hate how the company is booked.

This looks awesome. Davey showed more personality in that one minute than he has shown in his entire ROH tenure!

I think he is outdated, Jim is, in some aspects. The Guardians of Truth are a good example. It is an old school gimmick that he's doing, but people know who these guys are anyway, because it gets out on the internet. So, if he was going to bring in the Headbangers, just bring them in as their current indy gimmick, of the Simply Tremendous Dudes (the STDs as Chaz said on his AOW podcast). There are positives and negatives to having them there. A positive is they're an established tag team and can help younger teams out. The negative is they're a little over the hill for ROH style and not everyone is a Jerry Lynn or a Steve Corino.
Plus, I don't think people want to see a putty patrol in ROH, which is what they are and what that gimmick has been normally. Just have them as the STDs and run with that. I'm sure Truth Martini is sleazy enough to run with a gimmick like that.

Can we get a cliffnotes version for those of us who are very lazy? Of the twitter story? Basically, some guy is claiming that Team Ambition (Davey, Kyle O' Riley, and Tony Kozina) showed up two hours late to a small indy show, demanded that they be paid right away and then immediately left, claiming that they had to get wrist tape from their car. He also claims that Davey insulted Kevin Steen and CM Punk, saying that Steen was "over for all the wrong reasons" and that "Punk couldn't work for shit". Really bizarre story.

Can we get a cliffnotes version for those of us who are very lazy? It seems like Jaysin Strife is a friend of a promoter who got rock starred by Davey Richards and Kyle O'Reilly, taking a $350.00 payday and somehow threatened his way out of not performing. The tweets lead to a back and forth between Jaysin and Kevin Steen who doesn't seem all that surprised by the development and they get into how Davey Richards held a seminar where he said Kevin Steen is over for all the wrong reasons and CM Punk can't work. Steen didn't wanna dig too deep into it but still told him to spread the word. There are two sides to every story so I don't wanna get too presumptuous but Steen getting involved seems to lend some cred to the idea that Davey Richards might be an asshole. That's unfortunate.

They also threatened to beat the crap out of the owner of the indy promotion who's apparently 115 lbs. I'm aware of this because my friend lives near where said promotion runs and one of his friends is a wrestler there (a guy I used to e-fed with weirdly enough)
