I still say Edge should win. This is the perfect time to cement Edge as THE HEEL. Unless the guy gets injured again and is out for another 8 months. As good as he is, he's always been injury-prone. That's what really sucks. I would love to see heel Edge carry the title through Mania but I don't know if ending Undertaker's streak is the right way to do it, especially if Undertaker isn't retiring, and there's no sign he is.

I think Taker should put Edge over at WM...in a CLEAN finish. 2008 is a critical year where many of the stars from the 1990s from Taker to HBK.....might finally step aside or back off some as new people take over their spots. Pfft, what am I kidding? That'd be great, but a lot of these younger guys aren't ready to main event shows by themselves.

The thing about Taker and HBK is, a reason why they've come back or stayed is that WWE desperately needed their star-power/credibility to sell tickets...right? I mean, who's going to keep wrestling on a regular schedule for the WWE in 5 years, of December 2012? Edge or the Dead Man? The clock is ticking.

The thing is, I can see Matt Hardy becoming over at Main Event with the culmination of his US title program with MVP, where both men become ME material. But for Hardy especially, in late 2008.................Edge/Matt for the WHC strap, anyone?
