Edge-Taker WM24...how this could be huge

It is rumored that WWE is looking to have Edge and Taker as the Smackdown main event at WM24, with the fact that both are undefeated at Wrestlemania as th sellling point for the feud

In order for this feud to be done right, think that the Smackdown writing team should look no further than 1997. They should look back to one of WCW's few good years, when the company as kicking Raw's behind in the ratings. They should look back to Sting-Hogan.

What they should do is simple. Have Edge and Taker not battle in one match, not even a tag team match, yet have them at odds in story lines each week. They should keep building up their feud heavily, continue to tease it, until Wrestlemania.

If they do this correctly, fans will be just dying to see this match, and will gladly pay to see this match, just like Sting and Hogan, and this could possibly be one of the biggest buy rates in a long time.

hell yeah. these two still haven't had a one on one match yet, but they are nonetheless in a feud. the initial excitement that comes with a first match, coupled with the "undefeated" gimmick, adding on the fact that both edge and undie are awesome, is gonna make this awesome.
EDIT: oh yeah, i forgot that edge isn't actually undefeated, but they're doing the whole "he wa snever pinned" thing. still, should be great anyway.

Taker-Edge at WM 24 in a 1 on 1 match is sort of a dream match for me, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Edge is getting a lot of heat and he's been booked pretty damn well. Taker is Taker. I'm hoping that this is the main-event of WM 24 and doesn't get the same treatment Batista-Taker got this year.

Yeah, Edge will probably pull out the "I was never pinned at WM" part to make up for MitB.

Yeah, the only streak Edge has at 'Mania is the one in his tights.

I'd still prefer a Taker/HBK 'Mania match up, capitalizing on last year's Rumble. At least HBK looks like he stands a chance at beating Taker in some of the fan's eyes.

That's a great idea for a fued. not sure on how long they will have to build the main event up. if taker has to win the hell in the cell to get the much then they only got a month or so to work with. They might have to bring in some other wrestlers to help, we will already have the major brothers onvolved and kane will proberlary end in the mix some how. they could have taker and kane win the tag belts and then lose them to the majors at saturday nights main event after edge spears kane. i know we would end with them as the tag champs but it might add to the fued. they could always add another lower tier wrestler to the fued to give them the rub or bring someone up form ovw or fcw.

It would be even better if Edge used his influence with Vickie to keep UT away from the title, but is somehow forced to face him at WM (maybe Vince orders it or something).

Edge makes a great opportunistic and cowardly heel. He should crank that up full-force to do everything he possibly can to keep Undertaker away from him until WM.

If this is actually the final match, Undertaker will win to send the fans home happy. Unless they pull a swerve and let a heel win the final match at Wrestlemania. Decisions, decision.

They've got longer than a month. The feud has been there since Edge cashed in Money in the Bank. It's a match that has been building, by the time Mania comes around it will have been almost a year. The main event has been building since then.

if you think about it... Edge was taken out of the match early before the ending so it could be said he wasn't involved with the decision, thus never lost

I think Taker should put Edge over at WM...in a CLEAN finish.

2008 is a critical year where many of the stars from the 1990s from Taker to HBK.....might finally step aside or back off some as new people take over their spots.
