After losing the tag match, Kennedy and Orton should of argued, culminating and Kennedy taking offense and beating on him. Orton gets the upper hand by hurting his hand.
Knocks him down and stomps the hell out of his hand.
You wouldn't even have to make Kennedy a face, and Orton would get more heat as a psychotic asshole.

I just feel like Orton should be more of a loose cannon psycho; Santino should definitely not be safe, and neither should anyone else on the roster.

It wasn't about Orton and Kennedy though.
That was 100% to build up Jeff Hardy as a legit threat to Orton...which they successfully did judging by the pop of the crowd and the pop in my house.

Would of gotten both of them over.
I think they're about to trun Kennedy anyway. There is no other reason they would of mentioned Kennedy being hurt or that HBK was impressed with his ring work.

If they had done the finish just two or three minutes earlier, they would of had plenty of time.
Even if it was as simple as one Garvin stomp to the hand, a move Orton does well anyway.

Still it would have taken focus off of Jeff Hardy's win, I really think they're pushing Hardy as hard as possible because Vince is starting to have faith in him, not to say he's going to win the Championship at the Rumble, but it's certainly not out of the question for him to win it sometime in 2008 or beyond.

Another lost oppertunity, Vince should have played the deposed emperor who loses his throne and now wanders the streets homeless and insane (see the Akira Kurosawa's Ran). Eventually a John Cena finds him and helps him find his sanity.

Why should Kennedy turn face anyway?
He's boring as a heel, and faces are usually more boring than heels... Plus, Kennedy isn't that over anyway, so the whole thing would have generated a colossal "meh" reaction.
Moreso, Orton v Hardy is and should stay the main focus.

Son and son-in-law could feud over the family fortune whilst the demented patriarch drools in a rocking chair. Kudos to you sir for the Akira Kurosawa reference!

How can it be a lost opportunity when Kennedy is well out of the title picture. He lost it when he stated outright he was off drugs and stuff, then got caught on the pharmacy list as a user.
Im glad tbh, the guy was entertaining as a mid-card heel on SD, but he just doesnt seem to be able to cut it in a high profile fued. His promos have been dull and disinteresting and his matches bounce from good to piss poor.
Not really what you want in a high carder.
