When was the last time anyone in WWE said his full name? I don't know why they shy away from it so much. I can definitely understand a new fan watching WWE and wondering what the hell HHH stands for.

I've heard "Hunter" a few times, but I don't recall hearing his full-name in a long while. I'm surprised I don't ever see any threads asking what Triple H even means from some of you newer viewers.

it's just very symbolic of his old blueblood character and bares no relevance to the badass HHH.

He used to be called Helmsley when refering too him. I think King Booker may've called him by his full name. I think the reason they shy away from it is because he's not quite that character anymore.
I did love it though when at Wrestlemania 22, they kept 11 years worth of kayfabe by talking about how Triple H had a privledged upbringing, which is what his character in 1995 had.

I do recall JR calling him "Helmsley" during his matches, even pretty recently. I reckon it's just one of those things that even if you don't know what's Triple H stands for, you look it up on Wikipedia or WWE.com to see an easy answer.
I kinda want to see him bring the ol' blueblood character back one day, though I doubt it will ever happen. He's just way too established with being The Game.

Perhaps it's time HHH got his own illegitimate son angle?
The answer? Gregory Helmsley.
I'll show myself out.

Regarding Cena; I found it funny that the WWE tried to build Cena up as being raised on the gutter streets of West Newbury, yet when Edge went to the Cena family home and slapped his father, the external shot of the house showed it being enormous.

Well, if I can play devil's advocate...he could have bought that house with his WWE money. That doesn't have to be the house he grew up in. You saw rappers who are as hardcore street as you can get with mansions on MTV Cribs, right? Just saying. As for Hunter, I was thinking about this the other day actually. Nobody calls him this anymore, except for the occasional "Hunter" or "Helmsley." What me and my friends don't get is...why did they keep his finisher as "The Pedigree?" That has nothing to do with his current character, and really hasn't since way back when. I also never got what a pedigree had to do with a double-underhook facebuster. The Stunner and Rock Bottom are perfect names to describe the move, as is the Mandible Claw and others. But when I hear "pedigree" I think of dog food commercials.
