I havent seen many of his matches, but it looks like he has the total package. He can do a 450 splash and he weighs over 200 pounds. Plus I think he has a serious guy look.
What do you think of his in ring abilities, or what are your thoughts on Aries in general?

450 splash? 220 pounds? Serious "Guy Look"?
You've sold him to me.

I think Austin Aries is fried gold. He's responsible for some of the best matches I've seen in recent years, and every time I've seen him live he's delivered, three of those times it looked like he was fighting through a legit injury or sprain.

Just don't put him in a head scissors. Why? It's Pro Wrestling Law #338

Just don't put him in a head scissors. Why? He reverses it every time. Its become a staple in pretty much all his ROH matches. He's my favorite wrestler.

If you are looking for entertaining matches with solid ring work check him out for sure. If you can get your hands on some Generation Next stuff you will love that as well. (well hopefully you will)

You wanna know what I think about him in the ring or what I'd do to him behind closed doors?

Never really liked him. Don't much go in for "serious guys" I find them boring. But that's never been Aries' character, except for maybe a few months in 2004...how do you mean? Aries is a very charismatic, ultra-talented wrestler who's already proven his worth as a World Champion. He's your Personal Jesus.

(well hopefully you will) Yes. I loved their work together. My first exposure was through his brief original run in TNA and I wasn't blown away but, after I started getting into ROH, he quickly became a favorite of mine. His leaving TNA was bittersweet as I was glad he was going back to ROH and being used but, I was sad I wouldn't get to see him outside of the odd match online and PPV since I can't afford the DVDs right now.

Just don't put him in a head scissors. Why? Basically, he gets to his knees, and goes into a headstand, before popping his head out of the scissors, hopping to his feet and hitting the seated opponent with a dropkick. You'd think the opponents would learn. It's like trying to powerbomb Petey Williams from the apron to the floor. Why is it when you find a way to get out of an obscure spot in itself your opponents will keep doing it to you? Ah...well, Aries, what more is there to say? He's great as a classic "I'm badass" face, or as a "your opinions matter not" heel. He can do Rob Conway better than Rob Conway, and still has time for the old-fashioned trunks-and-kneepads look to nail perfectly. He's solid as part of a stable, tag team, or solo. He works fluidly, so his matches are genuinely entertaining, and has the endurance to keep it up the whole match. The only problem I have with him is his mic skills. They're not bad, just average when you consider his ability in the ring. But who wants to hear him talk when you can watch him wrestle? So, yes. I have a rather high opinion.

Like how people couldn't stop trying to powerbomb Kidman?
