Back in WCW, when he speared Nash on PPV. The heel turn didn't even last 5 minutes, as he didn't seem to get over as heel. Did Russo really believe it would be successful? It just seemed totally unnecessary to me.

It was an attempt to stir things up. As we all know, it didn't work out.

It was an attempt to stir things up. As we all know, it didn't work out. That's what Russo was/is all about: shock value. That's why it seemed that on every PPV, someone turned on someone else, even if there was no reason for it and nothing happened afterwards. It's called the Russo Factor; also known as "What To Do When You Can't Come Up With Anything New."

The answer to this question is four simple words:
Russo is an idiot.

Wasn't Goldberg basically turned back face again after like a month? I wasn't watching WCW at the time, so I just read about it.

KER-AZY SWERVES! WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT! THREE COUNT ON A BOAT! DOUG DILLINGER IS WOMENS CHAMP! HEEL TURNS FOR ALL! WOAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!
That's why... and that's the inside of Russo's mind. He once deliberately injected himself with the Ebola Virus, just to swerve his family.

Wow, I thought Rick Mad was the only loser who watched WCW in 2000.

Wow, I thought Rick Mad was the only loser who watched WCW in 2000. I actually enjoyed WCW in 2000. MIA, 3-Count, New Blood vs. Millionaire's Club, Jarret's silver nWo..there were a lot of things I really enjoyed at that time. I even liked the triple cage matches and David Arquette/DDP swerve. Fun stuff. I'd love to watch it again.

Oh yeah, because instead of a Shane Douglas vs. Billy Kidman match with a gimmick, I'd much rather watch a gimmick wrestling as the Cruiserweight champion...

Let me repeat this, because you clearly missed it... It was a VIAGRA ON A POLE MATCHAnd? Yeah, it's a bonehead idea of a match...but it's nothing that would turn me off from watching the show (like, let's say, someone faking their own death)
