OK, the guy's been a promoter for six years, tells an out of town talent, on the day of the show, who he's working, and that he's doing the job. The day of thing is the part that gets me. And his logic of "you remember, he worked AJ last year", since I'm sure it's policy for this guy's workers to remember whom friends of theirs worked matches with the previous year. In essecne, it was "hey Joe, you're working this guy, who you must know since he worked a match with AJ last year, and AJ's your friend. You're doig the job to the guy, who you once again aren't familiar with, and he's going to be finishing with a head-droppy move despite you outweighing him by a hundred pounds ". There is another way to look at the story. It seems as if the man asked Joe if he would put over Omega, but didn't care when Joe said no. He just wanted a different answer besides "TNA guys only go over TNA guys." since that was a lie. He also said that during earlier conversations, Joe had talked about the last time he worked there, which was when AJ & Omega had the match. So, the promoter brought it up as a "AJ put over this guy." thing, which if he was "okay" with Joe not putting over Omega he probably shouldn't have done. Again, this is just this guy's side of the story. I can understand how both people could have rubbed each other the wrong way. I don't know how to look at stories like these. I wasn't there to see what happened and even if Joe gives his side of the story, both have the potential to be packed full of bias. So, since I like Joe, and tend to have a bit of bias towards him because of that, I'll just assume that his ego got the best of him and that the promoter over-reacted.

This fat piece of trash is easily the most over-rated flop to come down the pipe since The Shock Master. What a failure. Maybe Vince can shape this pig up once he signs him. To each his own I guess, I think the praise he gets is warranted and hardly anywhere near the Shock Master as I don't ever recall hearing anyone talk about him in a good light apart from his days teaming with Quake. I think that's a bit of hyperbole on your part. Not hyperbole. The guy's just a troll. Been doing it for a coupla weeks now.

Nah, I'd still probably side with Cena as he doesn't sound like a bad person at all. I know some people may bypass that and look only at his in-ring work (or lack thereof some would say), but the guy seems like a cool cat.

Agreed. in both cases, the guys have always struck me as professional and level-headed enough that I'd at least wait to hear their side first. Promoters, especially small time ones, don't always have the best track records when it comes to integrity.

^ Considering past actions, especially ones involving Booker T, it's not like that would be an unfair stretch.

^ Considering past actions, especially ones involving Booker T, it's not like that would be an unfair stretch. Understood, but I've read a bunch of stories that paint Batista in a much different light. So there's a good and bad side to everyone. Cept Buzz Sawyer. Never really heard anyone say anything good about him.

I agree, I'm sure people would do that, but I guess it's due to some of the reports (not sure if they're entirely false or true) about Batista's conduct at autograph signings which would put people into the mindframe of believing he's a dick or an asshole. Of course, most on the net probably believe that as Batista isn't exactly the most technically sound wrestler, yet remains over so of course that will earn him a lot of loathing.

You throw Batista into that position. Someone who the IWC generally loathes to begin with. OFF WITH 'TISTA'S HEAD!

The true story lies somewhere in between But Joe was paid to go to work. He did not do what he was paid to do. and that was have a good match in the main event with one of their top stars. If he did not want to job he could have had a simple 20 min timelimit draw. Both end up looking good and nobody loses. Insted he jobed him out in 8 min, in the main event. If anyone , The FANS were screwed.

One question:
Okay so AJ put over Kenny Omega last year so when Joe said "We can only put over other TNA" talent, the promoter assumed Joe was lying. But haven't TNA changed a whole bunch of their rules within the last year in regards to indy bookings and whatnot? So is it possible that since the AJ/Omega match last year, the rules have indeed changed and now they can no longer put over anyone but TNA talent?

lol at everyone jumping on joe from an angry promoters point of view
did anyone ever think that maybe TNA lied when they said thier guys would do buisness?
would you really put it past TNA to tell the promoter what he wants to hear and tell their talent something different, i certainly wouldn't
maybe joe was telling the truth, maybe TNA told him no jobs to non TNA guys
like others have said the truth is somewhere in the middle, and joe probably just had an off night
