Former ECW World Champion Shane Douglas says on his online commentary that he's currently in the manager training program at a Target store in New Brighton, PA. The Franchise says he doesn't miss the wrestling business, but does miss performing infront of the fans. Douglas says the reports that he was released by TNA earlier in the year because of a relapse are false and that he hasn't taken any kind of drug or pill since his stint in rehab last year.
Bit sad that a worker of his stature is now resigned to working in a store, but if it makes him happy, then fair play to him. Bit worrying though that people know which Target he works in.

He would make a good commentator. Toss out West (but keep him around to some degree because he amuses me greatly) and put in Douglas.

This was posted not to long ago already.... I couldn't find it. It was rumored before. This is actually coming from the Franchise himself now.

Yeah there was a thread on this a coupla weeks ago, but it hasn't been recent enough to cause a stink over.
I say good for him, if he's happy, found a life for himself after wrestling, is healthy, and is making a living. Money's money, and it's talking about him being in management which is a far cry from cleaning toilets. Though honestly, if he could make a living cleaning toilets and was happy with it, more power to him.
Good for him.

People automatically think that when they hear Target, it's automatically a job folding t-shirts or cleaning bathrooms. While not making as much as he did wrestling, it's probably not that bad of a job.

he was going to work at Walmart but when they gave him the vest he threw it down and held up the Target shirt I heard he worked at Wal*Mart but left because Ric Flair was there and it was Flair's fault he wasn't Manager yet.

a friend of mine says that target pays pretty well and that a job like that pays 60 k a year. yeah not that bad. That's probably around the same amount of money, if not more, than what he was making as a road agent in TNA.

I wonder how he will react when the WWE puts out a Dean Douglas Classic Superstar Series figure?

Good for him. Working at Target is just incredible. Sorry, I just had to say that. It's hard to resist making a Target joke without mentioning Justin. Especially considering it involves another former ECW Champion.

I used to work for Target and believe me its not that great. My ex's mother was a manager at a local Target and had worked there for almost 15 years and she quit because the pay was terrible. Poor Shane Douglas.

If he gets fired, I bet he blames The Clique.
Sorry; I also couldn't resist the joke. Douglas just always seemed over-rated to me. *shrug*

The ECW championship is the stepping stone to Target employment.
I guess the IWA (Ian Rotten) title is the stepping stone to working at Hardees.
