Apologies if there's already a thread about this, but here's this year's inductees... - The Rock
- Evan "The Strangler" Lewis
- Tom Packs
- Lino Ventura
Next year, Meltzer is giving the voters the option of whether to remove Chris Benoit from the Hall Of Fame, as it would mark 5 years since his induction.

How is "Strangler" Lewis not in already? Wasn't he the guy who turned wrestling from legit to staged? That would make him one of the 5 most pivotal figures in wrestling history.

Is Evan "The Strangler" Lewis different then Ed "The Strangler" Lewis?

Is Evan "The Strangler" Lewis different then Ed "The Strangler" Lewis? Yes, Evan was before Ed. Ed took the Strangler name in honor of him. Lewis and Ventura were inducted in by Meltzer himself I think as they were both pioneers of pro wrestling. Tom Packs was one of the earliest and most influential promoters. The Rock is some Hollywood actor.

I think it's ridiculous that they're considering removing benoit.
like it or not, he WAS one of the best wrestlers in the world, I don't think they should remove him even though he's one of the more controversial figures in wrestling now.

ONE of the more controversial figures in wrestling NOW? He's King Evil in all of pro wrestling history, like it or lump it. Besides, it's the Observer's deal, they can induct/reduct as they please. Start your own Hall of Fame if'n it bothers you so.

For some reason, they choose to induct whilst a career's still going.

Why was Benoit inducted FIVE years ago? The earliest a guy (or woman) can be inducted is at age 35.

Why was Benoit inducted FIVE years ago? Eligibility for the WON HOF is sort of weird, and you can still be active when you get in.
