You'd think they would have discussed this before getting married. Bret's got 4 kids in Calgary and it's not like he's going to leave them forever.
But I thought Hart wanted to stay in Italy because the weather was better on his beaten-up body, and also to just get way from everything that reminded him of all of the tragedy in his life. Just goes to show you.

Me and my brother always laughed at Bret's Hall of Fame speech when he kept referring to her as "my wife, in Italy." as opposed to just saying "my wife." It sounded as if he had multiple wives. I just picture him saying that in a Lance Storm "Calgary......Alberta, Canada" sort of way. |

Also, I think there's probably more to it than her not wanting to leave. She was in her early twenties when they got married, and he was almost 50. That is not compatible at all.
Once you get past the honeymoon period, what would they have in common?
