That was the feud that didn't die! Once both of 'em got released by the WWE, they brought that suck-fest to the indys. I saw a rather horrendous match with them in Brooklyn that I remember to this day!

I still say Bossman should have been the heel in that feud.

Watched that, the Nailz/Taker staredown, and the Taker/Yoko challenge. Three pieces of well put-together wrestling television.
Bossman uses his promo to explain how he is doing a public service, serving justice, doing the right thing. Essentially, he's being a classic babyface. Nailz, however, argues that he is the victim, not the villain. He is Right and righteous to be fighting the Bossman, a symbol of authoritarianism and abuse of power. Nailz is a heel who believes in his motivations as righteous, not as a means to an end.
The staredown was great for the free TV show trying to sell future Coliseum releases and the major pay per views. The fans got absolutely nothing: Undertaker chokeslammed and tombstoned a jobber for the win. The match was, what, 20 seconds? But they got the body bag putting Taker over as a heartless monster, albeit a babyface. And they got the staredown that built Nailz as tougher than many who had come face to face with the deadman. They never touched or brawled, just stared. And Slaughter, an agent of authority, broke it up calmly. The fans care, want to see them fight. Money in the bank.
Yoko's handlers stress his greatness and that there are no legit challengers. Lights go out, and nothing. What's happening? Sorry for the technical difficulties. Time passes. And then the bell tolls, and Taker appears next to Yokozuna and challenges him. Again, no contact, very little spoken by either competitor. And most importantly, there was no [cue lights] "The lights are out, that can only mean one thing...the Undertaker!" or "There you have it folks: at the next event, Yokozuna will defend against the Undertaker!"
Even with crappy Nailz and mediocre Yokozuna, good booking could happen within the down times. It was logical, it made people want to see what would come next, it set up future feuds, it didn't insult intelligence by making it seem that the show's booking plan was "show up and see what happens." Rather, the plan was "Nails will have his match. Then the Undertaker will have his match." And "We will interview Yokozuna and his handlers about his title reign and the potential for a Luger rematch." And then things happen from there.
Logic alert. Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering Bossman came into the WWE as an evil cop, it's quite likely he would have beaten Nailz in jail.

Yep, Nailz's claims were entirely believable.

Ugh. There are also a lot of Virgil matches on youtube, also. Ugh. Hey, to be fair, Virgil/DiBiase at Summerslam '91 was a great match! As for Bossman/Nailz, I loved the feud. My first live show was a house show in Chicago where Nailz and Bossman main evented in a baby blue Cage match. Nailz was also scary as hell. If hadn't burned his bridges, he should've been Kane.

Bossman the Berzerker! lol ----------
Nailz is actually not that shabby on the mic. (Surprised as I never watched Nailz matches and promos before.)

I remember Nailz beatdown of Bossman was really, really stiff. Came across well on television. The next week, Bossman called Superstars and said he would be back, prompting Curt Hennig to tell him he was even stupider than he thought and hang up on him.
Also remember too Nailz attacking Slaughter. Slaughter retired and became an agent after that.

If Nailz didn't attack Vince and get fired, I could see him being an over heel. And they could've eventually turned him face and the Bossman heel.
