I'd call Daniels quite a bit more than an ex WWE jobber. But then I'm a huge Fallen Angel fan.

There were plenty of guys who got WWF tryout matches. Low-Ki, AJ Styles, and Samoa Joe all appeared on the B-shows.

Didn't Joe wrestle Essa Rios? I'm pretty sure he did. Also, Bryan Danielson had a pretty good match with early rapper Cena.

I recall seeing a young Daniels (with hair) one time on Late Night with Conan O'Brien in 1997. I think he either appeared in a demonstration with Bret Hart of Ken Shamrock. I do recall seeing him as a frequent jobber for a while on Shotgun.

Fallen Angel was never really a WWE regular.

Wasn't he a Conquistador during an angle involving the Hardys vs. Edge and Christian?

Wasn't he a Conquistador during an angle involving the Hardys vs. Edge and Christian? Probably has done that before. I know Eugene was a Conquistadore and Doink a number of times before being on the roster.

I know Eugene was a Conquistadore and Doink a number of times before being on the roster. But I think he actually won the tag team titles during that angle. I remember there was a JOTW feature on Los Conquistadors and that particular storyline was mentioned.

That Daniels vs Taka match is great. Made even more great by the fact that Cornette actually calls the match. If you look up matches like Samoa Joe vs Essa Rios, the announcers spend 99% of the match talking about the XFL.

Wasn't he a Conquistador during an angle involving the Hardys vs. Edge and Christian? He never actually wrestled in a match as a Los Conquistador. His involvement was in a backstage promo where he (and Aaron "Jesus" Aguilera) were in the Conquistador attire and Edge and Christian (who had earlier beaten the Hardys as Los Conquistadors for the tag titles) challenged them to a title match for RAW. As it turned out, the Hardys were under the masks for the RAW match and they won the titles back. www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/Los+Conquistadors/video/x388al_hardys-vs-los-conquistadors-no-merc_sportHardys vs Los Conquistadors (No Mercy 2000)

Daniels was part of an early 2000's initiative by WWE to find great new talent. When they got him as part of their talent acquisition of WCW, there were many within WWF saying "He could be the future of the company".
So, obviously, he had to go ASAP.

OMFG. He..... has hair! And is wearing a singlet! This is more shocking than Samoa Joe looking like he weighs 200 pounds in the Essa Rios video.

And this was when Nigel was actually in ROH. Joe, Ki, AJ and Daniels had years before they'd join TNA. Sorry, mate. Everyone starts somewhere.

Them not knowing proves my point: Losing a jobber match is not a big deal at all.
