Bret mentions that match in his new book. He says that after the match, he was immediately approached by George Scott, (then WWF booker) and told never to use the piledriver again, as that was Paul Orndorf's finishing move.
Not long after, the WWF brought in Jim Neidhart and the two of them suggested that they should be teamed as the Hart Foundation. The rest is history.
Intersesting how much less muscular Bret was here than later on. He admits using steriods in the book, and this was before that. He never had a bodybuilder physique but he definitiely had larger shoulders and chest later on.

I assume this match will be included on the Best of Aldo Marino DVD.

WWF actually was on TBS briefly in the '80s. I believe both Terry Funk and Ric Flair described it in their books.
This match was in the pre-cowbot days for Bret. He actually was "Cowboy" Bret Hart very briefly before the Hart Foundation gimmick started.

I assume this match will be included on the Best of Aldo Marino DVD. It will, but I read that they are actually going to name the DVD "The Self-Destruction of Aldo Marino". That guy was huge, but then he just imploded into himself.

Around the same time, I think the same month, WWF had two separate televised tag matches, one with Bret (still spelled Brett at the time, as it is here) and Dynamite Kid, and another with him and Davey Boy Smith.
Imagine how different everything would have been if they'd gone with one of THOSE combinations instead of the Hart Foundation and Bulldogs we all know.
