Well he is a big guy. I still think Fedor, but it isn't out of the realm that this guy could beat Fedor.

Hong Man Choi is big. But he loses MORE than Bob Sapp. And Sapp loses many times. Hell, this side of Katsuyori Shibata, Choi is probably the man that should have retired from MMA/Kickboxing althogether now.

No knees allowed in the fight, now.
Fedor will make easy work of Choi.

Hong is a freak show and a standard Can for better fighters to destroy. sure he's not as much a phail as giant silva, but hong still isn't much of a fighter.

Eh it's the best m-1 could come up with.
seriously though this is basically just a pride show, freak show vs. a battle tested pro...and a bunch of fights nobody really cares about

Who is he ducking?? He beat everybody you honestly tell me Fedor should be fighting the likes of Tim Sylvia, Kongo or Gonz to prove he is the best in the world? Fedor has set the bar and nobody has even beat the #2 in the world Big Nog, which Fedor did twice.
yes it is. Fedor is the best pound for pound fighter in the world. Hong is a freak show and a standard Can for better fighters to destroy.

That's simply not true, Hong is an accomplished kickboxer who's miles ahead of guys like Tim Sylvia who people say "has a chance of beating Fedor". I'm positive though that Fedor will beat Hong man the size isn't a problem, Fedor knocked out a 400lbs Zulu in 10 seconds.

Shut up, PRIDE has given me more entertainment and good fights in one show than UFC has given me all together.

Man I know it should be a mismatch because it's Fedor against a guy with one MMA fight but still look at this pic. It's not really different than Lesnar going against Mir in his first (legit) MMA match. Hong Man Choi is a successful kickboxer and korean-style wrestler with a big fanbase and unbelievable size and strenght. Of course against a guy like Fedor he doesn't have much of a chance. Remember this match was made on short notice, Fedor wanted to give his Japanese fans one last match because this is probably his last fight in Japan. No one else except Hong Man Choi wanted to fight Fedor on such short notice. Not Randy (who still has trouble with UFC), Barnett, Arona, Hunt, Kharitonov or anyone else. People forget that this "freak show" beat Semmy Schilt (robbery), Bob Sapp and Mighty Mo in kickboxing. He has only lost to 3 men, Remy Bonjasky, Jerome Le Banner and Mighty Mo.

Exactly, people write off Choi as a can because they have never heard of him. That's mostly the org fans who somehow can justify UFC giving Lesnar a former champion as an opponent when Lesnar himself is 1-0 with MMA.

Mighty Mo KO'd him with a punch in the chin. And Mo is like... Hornswaggle to Choi's Khali. GREAT Kickboxer (although I'll give him the "he beat Schilt in the biggest robbery in the history of K-1" prize) but he's too inconsistent even there to put a great fight in MMA.

I agree but let's not act like he is a total can. A can is someone like the guy Hong Man fought in his first fight Ologun or the guy Lesnar fought Min Soo Kim. If Fedor fought either of those he should be sued for murder attempt. Mo punches like a horse, he is short but heavy. Le Banner punches hard too but Hong Man took his shots easy, he isn't easy to KO. But the only thing Hong Man brings to this fight is his size and strenght, his technique won't match Fedors but if he can land a good one like Fujita did this could get entertaining.

Remember that no knee strikes will be allowed in this fight which further hampers Choi's chances of winning.
fedor takes this in a cakewalk...

yea um nice try sport, they both want to fight each other, the UFC dropped the ball on that one, we might see them fight at the end of the year, but with all the legal matters between the UFC and Randy, who knows! Fedor vs. Hightower, Hightower at the time was light years ahead of choi, Fedor will maul him

Uhhhh Fedor couldn't have signed the UFC contract if he wanted it. It banned him from combat Sambo fights in Russia, which is his national sport. And the guy is one of the most patriotic Russians around, and that would just be unacceptable for him to be unable to fight in his beloved sport of Sambo for the Russian people. And like said before, Choi is the best guy they could come up with. I think with Choi's long legs, Fedor will take him down with a takedown with little problem and win via GnP, but really no fault of Choi.
