SPOILERS AMUNDO (all three stories)
I think it beats CW and WWH in the follow up dept. While there were a couple loose ends in SINESTRO it was just Mongol getting a ring and BlackestNight teaser. But it was done in a way that made it a close ended story (even tho GLC will continue the war)
CIVIL WAR didn't end with CW7, it ended with Cap getting capped in CAP25.
WWH has WARBOUND, DAMAGE CONTROL, Herc (sort of) and SON OF HULK coming out (along with "why did Bruce turn red?)

Easily my most favorite.
THIS was the first storyline ALL Green Lantern fans could be proud of.

because they're awesome and it's understood that if someone can take down the JSA, they are a legitimate threat? it's like how WWE uses Kane. True enough... just wish it hadn't cost them so many members over the years, especially in crossovers. eh, nobody died this time, or during Infinite Crisis for that matter. kinda funny because Geoff Johns also writes (or at least was writing?) Teen Titans and they ALWAYS lose a few throwaway members during whatever uber-crossover he's writing.

I think it's because they're looking to stabilise the Titans... they did a number on many of the lamer Titans (Risk, Pantha, Wildebeest, even the clone/double/whatever of Terra), and some were added in just to die. I just worry that the pendulum will swing back to "expendable" on the JSA, and Wildcat, Jay or (god forbid) Alan Scott will die.

yeah to be honest, this is gonna sound like total blasphemy, but I'd like to see Jay, Alan and Ted just retire at some point and pass the torch to the kids. I mean, they're not getting any younger, and Mr. Terrific and Hourman are probably both more than capable of running the ship if need be. heck, even Power Girl's doing a pretty good job as chairwoman.
the other day I was entertaining the idea of how I'd write Stargirl as leader of the JSA, just because it sounded out of left field. something like that being done in the future would be pretty cool, too.

Yep... that's blasphemy alright :-P I can see the point, but at different times, they HAVE got younger. I just like having them around as super elder statesmen.

Any story that makes Sinestro a legit badass is in my top 10, I liked WWH better only because Hulk needed to kick major ass

Speaking of the Corps War, I picked up the 4 most recent issues today, along with the first 3 issues of Gotham Underground, a Nightwing t-shirt, and a Captain Marvel(DC's) t-shirt.

Not even close. Good story, and good art, but it wouldn't even sniff my top ten. What would be in your Top Ten, $lim? Gimme a while and I'll compile a list. Don't get me wrong, my first post probably came off as if I didn't like/respect the goodness of this storyline, I just think calling this the best event in the history of the medium is way way waaaaay overreaching.

It's okay, these guys put Carnage over Doctor Doom, they are erratic, at best.

Good point. I sometimes forget I'm an old fogey. Yeah... you wanted to put Madame Fatale over Doom AND Carnage.

It was a tossup between her and Ultra-Humanite.

Or Americommando. Eh that's my second Golden Age reference of the day.
One thing I really don't like about both the Sinestro Corps thing and even Hal being 'back' is the whole Parallax is the big space parasite thing. As unique as it is, and as well as Johns was able to make it a plot point that made sense for the most part through years of continuity, it makes Hal's whole 'turn' not his fault at all etc. I know that the point was to bring him back as the hero and all that, so it kinda had to be done; I'm just in the minority of not being fond of it.

Poor guy, just wanted to hang out with Manhunter. Speaking of which, the bright red costume with sky blue mask was a top notch choice for spy gear.

I don't really see why it ever had to be his fault. I mean, making him into a villain at all was kinda lame to begin with. besides if not for the space parasite thing, we woulda never gotten that awesome Kyle Rayner: Parallax costume.

Sinestro Corps War was just fantastic. Almost as good as Annihilation. (Not a Marvel apologist at all - hate most of what they do these days - but Annihilation was just damned fun. Side by side with SWC, they blew the major event stuff outta the water this year)
