so im trying to install a cd player into my 2000 dodge Ram... I bought the mounting kit and have it all set up, I also bought the wiring haraness and I have everything connected properly, the only thing I have left to do it connect the black and grey plug in, to the black and grey fatory ones coming out of the truck!
The only problem is, is that they DONT FIT!!! I have called around and I have the right wiring kit and everything and ive been told, "o they should just clip on".....well they dont!
I dont know a thing about car's but the ends coming out of the truck are bother male, and the ends coming out of the black and grey plug ins in the Cd player are male as well... Im not sure if thats suppose to be how it goes, or if one of them is suppose to be a female ended one?
Im so lost for ideas and im getting very frustarted! I 've been told I have the wrong wiring kit, but after calling Walmart and the kit company itself, Ive been told that I do in fact have the right harness and they should just "connect"...which they dont!
If someone could help me out of give me an idea of what i could do it would be greatly appreciated...its really pissing me off and Im at a lose on what to do!...
I have a 2000 dodge Ram 1500 The wiring Harness i have is a scosche CR012.....

If both counterparts are male, you might have a shot with a double-ended female adapter. Now, that leaves you with one wire left, presumably from the stereo side. At that point , you should get a male to female adapter, to finish the patch. Hope I helped.
