Anyone else feel this? Even if it goes away sometimes, do you eventually always end up back there? And any pro-active attempts to combat it again just end up being pointless?

It's called the Quarter Life Crisis. The only solution is to fight on.

Seriously? There's a name for this. I just thought it was called I'm a loser? (me, not anyone else)

It depends what you are disillusioned with.
Finding something more positive to focus on is the way to get over it.
If for example you were disillusioned with WWE, you'd say "meh, screw it...I'll watch something else instead" rather than getting too wound about how crap it might be.

I read Hunter Thompson, Peter Kropotkin, and BF Skinner in the hopes of someday changing that which disillusions me. I listen to Warren Zevon, Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney for escapism. And when all else fails, beer me.
"It is not a sign of good health to be well-adjusted to a sick society." - Jiddu Krishnamurti
In short, you SHOULD be disillusioned. It's a positive sign.
