Black Adam knocks out last times losing finalist Daredevil! ----------------------------- Last match of round 4 .... Spiderman - Marvel: Peter Parker is introduced as a science whiz kid teenager from New York City who gets bitten by a radioactive spider during a science demonstration. He gains spider-like powers from this including the ability to crawl on walls, super strength, super agility and a spider-sense (He also gaied organic web shooters, although originally he had to make them himself from sythetic substances) When he refuses to stop a thief, weeks later the same criminal kills his Uncle Ben. Learning that with great power comes great responsibility, Spider-Man becomes a vigilante/superhero. Peter gets a job as a photographer at the Daily Bugle selling photos to J. Jonah Jameson, who vilifies Spider-Man in the paper. Thoughout his career he has had countless probelms to deal with which usually involve him being spiderman clashing with his normal life. (Defeated Toxin, Penguin and The Hulk) vs Nightwing - DC: The former protector of Bludhaven and now New York. Dick Grayson possesses the peak athletic strength and endurance of a man in his early twenties who regularly engages in intensive physical exercise. His detective and martial arts skills rival that of Batman's, making him one of the greatest crime fighters alive. Originally just Batman's sidekick as Robin he has matured and now goes by the name Nightwing. He went on to have his own series, lead the Teen Titans and is member of most of the other major hero groups in the DC universe. (Defeated Wolverine, Annihilus and Dragonman) I can't stand Nightwing anyway so Spidey gets my vote here for sure.

I am so glad the DD/Black Adam fight was resolved without me. I don't think I could've chosen, but the decision was made without me.
Black Adam FTW. He tears guys in half just to make a point!

Hello all and welcome back as we hit Round 5 of this tournament. Webbing, Batarangs, eye lasers and metal is flying through the air but only 16 remain. Last time some truly big hitters fell to the wayside The Red Skull, Dardevil The Scarecrow to name but a few. Also you may remember I said we had fair few doctors left ... Well ... Now we don't have any! Octopus, Strange both gone but the big shock is that the Latverian Ruler himself Doctor Doom has been eliminated! So who's left you ask, well I won't tell you outright but here's a few cryptic nods to 14 of the 16 .... - I can Fly! (but not in the movies)
- Blue Skin is in! 'bamf!'
- Blue Skin is in! (Or is it?)
- I built my people a home on an Asteroid once!
- Is it a Bird?
- Frozen in time, until needed in the present.
- What's Green and likes to ask comlicated questions?
- My SHIELD is very high tech.
- Cletus is no slack jawed yokel this time.
- Fear my Yellow power!!
- Bad Taste in Comedy?
- I am the Night!
- *Cloud of Smoke*?
- A wall-crawler?
Anyway on to the rules .... Rules- First to 5 votes wins. (After 3 rounds it will progress to 5 votes for the next two rounds, at the quaters it will be 6, the semi's 7 and the final will get a couple of days.)
- 256 characters will enter ... they will be spread roughly between hero and villains ... with a few Vigilante/anti-hero's thrown in.
- The main selection will be from DC & Marvel ... however a few from other independant comics have been included.
- In case of characters who have had multiple people in there roles, use the general basis of that character. (e.g. Green Lantern, Flash, Baron Zemo etc)
- I will try to update this as swiftly as possible.
- I will be voting as well.
- The matches are determined at random.
- IMPORTANT! - Vote on who you like the most, not on who would win in a fight.
Let's get going with the first two ... Apocalypse - Marvel: Born over 5,000 years ago in ancient Egypt, En Sabah Nur is one of the oldest mutants alive, possessing a multitude of superhuman abilities, including the ability to both shift and alter his mass and form. Upon bonding with extraterrestrial technology, he was forever altered into something beyond mutant. Apocalypse is a Social Darwinist who believes in his extreme survival of the fittest philosophy: only the fittest have the right to survive — and he gets to define who is fittest. He considers himself as the fittest, and thus safe from his ideology. Apocalypse works behind-the-scenes, weeding out those he considers unfit through global war and conflict, including having manipulated mutants to battle each other, in order to "improve" mankind and ushering in the Age of Apocalypse. In several timelines, Apocalypse has established control over the world. His ambitions and goals has put him among the most fearsome and powerful villains in Marvel. (Defeated The Scarecrow, Brainiac, Sabretooth and Deadpool) vs Black Adam - DC:Originally called Teth-Adam (or Mighty Adam) in ancient Egypt, Black Adam was a previous appointee of the wizard Shazam, but soon used his power for his own corrupt ends, which forced the wizard to punish him. Generally, that punishment was to remove Adam from that time, only to appear in modern times to challenge Shazam's current appointee, Billy Batson, in his Captain Marvel form. He is a character whose morally ambiguous nature has his character fall between the lines of heroism and villainy; as a result, he has associated himself with both superheroes and supervillains at different times. He has similar powers to Captain Marvel. (Defeated Daredevil, Captain Marvel: Shazam, Super Skrull and Zoom) Apocalypse has my vote, he's entertaining for big grand scale storylines.

Apocalypse.
A bit over-bloated of a character but I still enjoy his storylines regardless.

Teth Adam.
The past few years have been amazing for him. I love Pooky, but he belongs in the stable of X-villains that rarely get used right.
