All the talk of Heath Ledgers death and people comparing it to the death of Brandon Lee made me pop in this film for the first time in a few years. I had really forgotten how good of a movie this is.

It was a top five, but is it just me or is Brandon not a great actor.
I just don't think he would of had a great career.
Heath on the other hand, would have been huge.

one of my top 5 movies of all time. Brandon may not have been the greatest actor around, but he was really good with action movies. and hey, that's not a bad thing. Arnie pretty much sucks as an actor, but he does action movies well, such as terminator, conan, etc.

If Lee had lived, THE CROW would have made him an action Hollywood star for the 1990s.

I really hate it. The soundtrack is brilliant though.

Brandon Lee wasn't a terrific actor, like Heath was. But his death was a lot sadder because he really died of no fault of his own. It was someone else's mistake. I feel for Heath and his family, but the responsibilty lies with him and him alone. Also, dying peacefully in your sleep...not the worst way to go, anyway.
The crow itself...meh. The little kid was annoying, the eric/shelley relationship was cheesy, the whole script came off as trite and predictable...etc. Not a great film.

Also, of note, is that they're doing a remake of this and jason statham wants to star.

But please no, not a remake of the first one. All the Crow sequels aside from City Of Angels have been awesome so far...let's not remake the first one.

Oh, thats nothing to years back when Rob Zombie was once slated to make his directorial feature debut with the 3rd CROW picture*... Then later, there was a point when it was to star Eminem and DMX as two men wanting revenge against each other.....but whoever is the really "good" or "bad" crow would be a subject of interpretation. *=When it was called LAZARUS, I believe
