The point is, there's no good guy, there's no bad guy, there's just a bunch of philosophical points standing in opposition - Ozymandias thinks he's doing good, Raw Shark (yes, that's my favourite little bit of the whole book) can take no other course of action that the one that he takes, Dr. Manhattan is a godlike being coerced into coming down to interfere at our level, and realising it's not the path for him... and Nite Owl? He's us... and he gets the girl. couldn't have said it any better. I just hope the film doesn't f*** up the ending. End it with Rorschach dying. And thats it.

I think my favorite line from the book is from Dr. Manhattan:
"In the end? Adrian, nothing ever ends."
Creeps me right out.
Oh, and I have zero hopes for the film. No offense to the folks that can't wait for it, I just don't think the story is worth f***ing up just to get made into a movie.

I'm still split on the movie.
I mean, some comics have had great movies(Sin City for example), while other shave had terrible films. But Watchmen is a little different than your typical comic book. A lot different.
If Snyder approaches it more as a novel rather than a comic, it has potential.

I think the reason Sin City was such a good movie was because
A. It was simple. Nothing too complex, so the stories translated well into film
and
B. It was pretty much word for word, scene for scene with the books.
oh, and
C. Frank Miller co directed

Usually in movies where the author helps, they seem to be good. It'll be...interesting to see how it turns out without Moore's support.

No WATCHMAN movie can match the complexity and depth of the graphic novel.

I'm not so sure about the movie, myself. I mean yeah Zack Snyder did 300 and that was an awesome movie, but it was such a simple straightforward thing, totally the opposite of Watchmen in so many respects, so I don't know if Snyder's previous comic movie credentials are gonna be enough.
