So its officaly now, Im taking my paid vacation off of work and me and a buddy are going to go on a week long Canoe trip down the wabash! Haha, I know the wabash isnt some big ass ocean or anything but we planned doing this last year but because of our schedules and everything we didnt get to do it!
We plan to leave on July 1 and basically just head south for a week to see how far we get! Im not quite sure where we will end up but out goal is to make it to Evansville ( 3 and a half hours away) and to the Ohio river! We have friends around that area, Terre Haute, Vincennes, Evansville so when we finally finish our journey...well just stab up the canoe to my truck and head home!
So what im wondering is, does anyone have any experiance on long canoe trips? We plan on buying a small trolling motor to help us when our arms get tired of rowing... but does anyone know about How man miles you can do in a 8 hour canoe day? I know it depends on the current and everything but we are very interested in how many miles we could do in a day!
It will be badass, out on the water all day, campfires at night... Gotta love it!
any suggestion/ideas on things to do while being bored canoeing?

Watch the movie Without a Paddle.
Copy the actions of that movie.

does there have to be spooning involved? Yes. Watch the movie Deliverance. Copy the actions of that movie. Have a blast. Fixed That may not end with the best outcomes.
