Apparently I totally blanked out on this, but sometime last year X-Japan (one of my favorite bands) reunited to perform the song "I.V." which was...in an absolutely confusing to me move, featured on the Saw IV soundtrack as the song over the credits (not complaining, it's just the last place I'd expect to hear them), I knew they were to reunite sometime, I guess I didn't know it was then.
But yeah, they're...kind of back together. The last lineup they had performed together for I.V. and they used unreleased guitar tracks written by hide before his death. During live performances they have one of hide's guitars on stage and have a mic set up for him, which I think is an absolutely amazing and thoughtful thing to do, it shows how much they cared for him. Makes me a bit teary thinking about it. You can see this at the end of the I.V. music video on youtube. I think the video is also on the Saw IV dvd as a special feature.
I know some people are probably like "meh we don't care" on this subject but I figured I'd post this for the handful of people that I knew would think it was cool.
