I've read the entire run of this book.
Every single review I read of it just basically blows Whedon and Cassaday for writing one of the all-time greatest comics ever.
I see it as a book with good writing and very good art that doesn't even approach the list of best X-Men stories ever told, let alone the best comics ever.
Any fans care to explain why they think it's so great? Any one else feel it's overhyped? Discuss in 5....4....3.....2.....3......dammit.....

I don't care for it much at all. I love Cassiday's art, but Whedon's writing grates on my last nerve. He basically killed my favorite hero book when he took over Runaways(he has 3 issues of his 6 done in like 9 months now), he killed the characterizations, and made them in to the Buffy change redux.
He can write teen girl dialogue I give him that, but his cape stuff does nothing for me at all. He also committed character assassination on Punisher and Kingpin.

The main problem with this book is the fact that it takes too damn long to get out and that makes it harder to enjoy. How can we be expected to enjoy the book when they come out so randomly and with so many delays that you have to go back and read the previous issues in the arc just to remember what is going on!?! Although the Whedon run is over with the one shot in April. With that being said it could randomly be delayed until September with the track record of this book.

I have the first arc, along with the first issue or two from arc two. Pretty cool.
But it was too hard to stay involved, considering the nearest comic shop was over an hour away.
Maybe if I get into a large sum of money, I'll get into collecting them again(the back issues cost over $4 a pop).

Eh, when the first arc brought back a dead character I was already put off. I can take brining characters back, but I don't like it all in all. It being his very first story I was kind of like "Already relying on this trick, eh?"
Collosus is one of my favorites to, I just feel that he had a good death and it should have stuck.

I buy "AM" but I'm not 100% in love with it. I agree that Cassaday's artwork is incredible. Whedon's writing is hit-and-miss but he does write great humour. Especially involving Logan... the scenes where he's training with the new kids after the Danger Room 'breaks', the books where he's a six-year old girl, and (my favorite) in the kitchen after Kitty and Peter spend the night together, are all hilarious.

morrison makes the run his bitch
Also Whedon's writing is severely lacking. he has a Kitty fetish the same way Claremont has a Psylocke fetish.
