From what I'm seeing on Variety's website, Rambo is topping the Weekend Box Office by about $1m and in turn, dropped Meet the Spartans to 2nd place.
Now that would make an interesting movie. One man vs. 13 Gay Spartans....

Not too surprising, Rambo has that "oh my God this is so cool, I'll go see it again and tell my friends to go to it as well" type of thing. While Spartans has the "wow that sucked, once is enough for me and I'll tell my friends it sucked" type of thing.

I can picture in my mind Rambo behind that 50 caliber gun just shooting at a screen playing Meet the Spartans.
Just tearing the picture to pieces.

Meet the Spartans isn't exactly the second coming of Citizen Kane, so this is pretty much expected.

So do you think that people were disappointed in spartans after seeing the commercial and knowing what they were in for?

So do you think that people were disappointed in spartans after seeing the commercial and knowing what they were in for? Anyone who went to see Spartans despite the many voices on this site and elsewhere urging them to reconsider was probably oblivious enough to enjoy it it anyway.

umm, according to box office mojo, friday alone, meet the spartans beat rambo, but they all got beat by hannah montana.
edit: the weekly tally rambo's winning. my apologies.
