"Best Summer Movie You Haven't Seen Yet" - MTV Awards
OK, what's wrong with this very concept anyway? To award the best marketing campaign or what? Hell, what if said winner turned to be a GODZILLA or BATMAN & ROBIN in terms of pure pornstar suckage?
Plus...anyone notice that 2007's winner, TRANSFORMERS, was made by the same Viacom corporate Empire that MTV belongs to?
Yeah, no coincidence what so ever...
So, whats other DUMB Awards?

Not one specific award, but an entire awards show: SpikeTV's Video Game Awards. So biased, it's not even funny.

Computer animation isn't the same as real animation. I miss the days of real effort being put into animated movies. If I see one more trailer for some CGI crapfest about penguins or insects this year, I'm gonna puke.

Then watch anime, because "real" animation won't be coming back anytime soon to the U.S. I'd rather see CGI animation than the horrible mass-produced direct-to-video cell animation that Disney was cranking out until recently.

Disney's DTV sequel crap sucks real shit.

I'd like to just say that just because film companies don't have any clue what the f*** to do with computer animation sometimes doesn't mean it isn't an actual form of animating.

Meh, I don't qualify it as actual animation. It's computer animation, none of it is done by hand as far as I know.

Meh, I don't qualify it as actual animation. It's computer animation, none of it is done by hand as far as I know. Out of the 6 winners of Best Animated Feature, only 2 were animated by hand (1 in the traditional sense, and 1... in the other "animated by hand" sense). Also, out of the 20 that have been nominated from 2002-2007, only 8 of them were not CGI animation.

Does Persepolis (sp?) count as "traditional" animation?
