Now You See It and Card Sharks are two of my favorites and I never hear anyone talk about them. I do remember them trying to do a new version of Card Sharks not too long ago but, it didn't last long. Huge mark for the Card Sharks theme song here. Wasn't one of the sound effects (if not the song) from the Eubanks version of the late '80s lifted off of another Eubanks show, Trivia Trap?

I know of the Trivia Trap/Pathfinder connection (that noise bugged the crap out of me as a little kid, often chasing me out of the room at around age 4.... HOLY COW, it's been 17 years since that happened...).

Think Fast. It was on Nickelodeon in the late 80s or early 90's. Loved it.

Let's Make A Deal, Russian Roulette and Press Your Luck by far. (Oh and for those younger viewers, vintage Richard Dawson Family Fued, god that man was awesome.)
And Rock N Roll Jeopardy, mainly because I left everyone in my wake playing against buddies of mine.

One of the best game shows ever is The Challengers. Not only that, Wipeout and Idiot Savants from MTV. I would also be remiss to not mention the name of the game show that I'm a mark of and have prominiately in my signature. Holy Crap, The Challengers was amazing. Wipeout was a good show too. I miss the 80s version of $ale of the Century. My favorite game show ever. The current syndicated revival (known as "Temptation") is just a total piece of crap. But my favorite game show, I think had to be the Scrabble game show. Sure, it looked like it took place in a public restroom, but it was an incredible game, and the Scrabble Sprint was one of the best elements to a game show ever. I'd also be remiss not to mention King of the Hill. The game never got past the pilot phase and on air, but I thought it was a neat game. Three players had to work their way up a staircase by answering questions, until one got up into the Champion's territory. Then, they battled the champion until either the challenger defeated him/her, or the Champion exhausted the question supply. (this situations actually favors the champion, because the supply isn't reset if another player gets into their territory, and the challenger has to go back down a step if the champion answers the question correctly.) Also, the "Money Cards" game from Card Sharks got its start here.

What was even more awesome was Weird Al's playing on an episode, losing, and then having his song at the end of the show. It should be QUITE obvious what it is. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hicZKvkPfAA

* 2-Minute Drill * Card Sharks (Perry/Wink version, not the 2003 abortion) * Press Your Luck (not Whammy!) * Supermarket Sweep * Classic Concentration * Scrabble * Scrabble * Scrabble ( ) OH! Hot Potato, too. Another Bill Cullen show, three-on-three, if you guess wrong, in the box, lots of brown and orange.

No love at all. The show is too slow, too plodding, and just plain awful.
