Alright Ive been taking ativan (lorazepam) every night for both sleep and anti-anxiety. I aint really gonna go into it, but I didnt get to take one tonight. Does anyone know how sick Ill get? Im asking here cause Ive searched online and cant really find anything, thought maybe someone may know.
I usually take it around now and Ill prolly be able to get one by tomorrow afternoon.
Im just really worried cause Ive heard of people going into convulsions when they didnt have it. I remember someone say it could be like coming off of heroin I really dont care about getting sick, just dont want something terrible like that.
Keep in mind Im not gonna be without them for like days, just till tomorrow afternoon.
(Keep in mind, although yall wont believe me, I do not take these for recreational use or whatever. I take it for what its used for. I pretty much get nothing out of it except maybe I sleep a little longer...)

Stop worrying. Missing one dose generally dont mean you're gonna flip out or get sick right away (like heroin addicts do in one night). When legal drug warning labels read, "Don't stop taking this medication suddenly or it may effect . . . " it usually means not to just suddenly quit taking it altogether, like quitting insulin shots, or stopping smoking... cuz the withdrawal symptoms can get bad. But the industry is well aware that people do "miss" sometimes. This allowance kinda has to be built in. So you'll be fine till you can get to that next scheduled doze this afternoon. But after that - yeah, I hear you start growing Elvis sideburns and breaking into spontaneous slap-happy verses of the Sponge-Bob Squarepants theme song. (Maybe I'll take a half and do harmony with ya). Anyways, seriously, you're fine. If it makes you feel any better, I found this on the net - which kinda says the same thing about missing a dose of Ativan. www.drugs.com/ativan.htmlWhat happens if I miss a dose?Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at your next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.[/b] .
