I'm not fat by any means but I've gotten out of shape and since I'm out of a relationship, I got to look good for them women. I'm lifting weights and stuff again, so look out bitches, I'm single. I use to be a pretty big dude, in 8th grade I was like 5'5" 180 lbs and was a chubby dude up until 10th grade, when I lost a bunch of weight. I just walked to the fairgrounds everyday for like a week straight (also walked around the fair all day long with my buddies and sometimes I walked home, bout a 3 mile walk) and drank water rather than soda. I wasn't even really trying to lose weight, but I dropped about 30 lbs over that summer and haven't looked back. It's not too hard but it takes a lot of discipline. Just cut out the junkfood, soda, and exersize some and you'll be straight. I'd reccommend basketball if your into that or weight lifting, it helps me.

haha thats one of the reasons im doing this. I never have had problems getting girls Ive liked, but seems like lately the girl whom I like are always with guys whom I think im better than. Not trying to sound rude but its seems like back in the day they would easily choose me over some of these guys. The only thing I think they have over me is alot of them are really scrawny dudes and it makes me feel like such a fatass sometimes. I dont want to become all scrawny because I would look retarded, but I feel if i got down to 160ish.... I would be a little more attractive to the girls.........

Your best bet is to follow the weight watchers guide. Taking account of all of the things that you eat everyday and equating them into points. a certain number of points a day depending on your weight. It works if you follow it. Also doing excercise gives you more points to eat in a day. Its really easy and I lost over 50lbs on it.
Also in answer to your other question, walking a mile equates to using up as many calories as running a mile does, however walking for an hour is not the same as running for an hour. Its as simple as that. If you want to lose the weight, do the distance not the time, and in the beginning start it at a walk.

Dude, if you're just kind of overweight or whatever, turn that shit into muscle. Start lifting.

little update on my status.. I bought the treadmill last night and walked on it around 3.5 MPH for 30 mins.... Went to work today, only brought home a Hamburger for lunch and thats all I have ate today... Walked at around 3 mph this morning for 45 mins, and just got done walking on it about 3.5 mph for 30 mins.
I have lost 2 pounds in 2 days just from that... also I havent only drank 1 soda today and have drank alot of water... thats why its almost midnight and I have only ate one sandwich all day....
so far so good!

You have to eat more than one time a day. Eat chicken, salad, veggies, anything halfway healthy, but you can't just stop eating.

Yeah, a grilled chicken sandwich, anything like that. Even if you don't seem hungry, just have a piece of fruit or some veggies. You have to eat, you have to keep fuel in the tank, as it were.

I'm gonna try and lose weight too.
At the moment I weight 12 Stone and 12 pounds (180lbs), the heaviset I've been was 185lbs and I don't wanna go back to that. I hope to get down to 165 lbs or there abouts.
As an added incentive, i've decided to post my weigh in results on my sig (good or bad) in hopes that it will make me stick to the diet.
So here goes.
Day 1: 180 lbs

Eating once per day isn't the right solution...
It's not about how much you eat, but about what you eat.
Sandwiches aren't the best choice; already better than burgers, but far from the ideal choice.
A dish of meat (actual meat, not some suspicious conglomerate of meatish material) with vegetables/salad on the side is the right way to go. Or fish... Even pasta is ok in moderate doses (3-4 ounces)
