So i posted a topic about weightloss and such and im still working on the treadmill, but im kind of confused about the whole BMR thing and weightloss.
According to several calculators, my BMR is around 2,000. What exactly is the BMR? I have heard its the calories burnt everyday by your body no matter what you do. I have also heard its the amount of calories you NEED to eat to keep your current weight. So eating 500 less Calories a day would equal a 1lb weight loss every week?
Im 5ft 8 and about 183 pounds. I dont eat very often at all, actually I will ususally eat lunch around 2 and then eat around 10 or so. I keep hearing how you shouldnt eat 1,000 or more under your BMR, but if my BMR is 2,000 then I would say everyday I eat atleats 400-500 under it. Today I have only ate lunch and I figured my lunch was around 800 calories... so does that mean that today I have a -1200 defecit for today which means if I DO this every single day I would lose a little over 2 pounds a week?
I also burn about 200 Calories a day on a treadmill which would actually mean im only consuming 600 or so Calories a day?
Im very confused... im sure someone here understands this
Basically... If i keep my calorie instake to 1200 a day... and walk on the treadmill for 45 mins 5 days a week.....how much weight do you think I will lose weekly?
I know only eating these many calories isnt considering a healthy way to lose weight but.... just plain and simple, how much weight loss a week should i experiance
