I wasn't impressed.
I was into it, until the semi end. Then, eh.
Josh Brolin is the man. Javier Bardem is a scary mothersmurfer.
Edit: Old Country is my nickname for it.

can you tell me what happened at the begining? I was late in the movie theater and I saw a guy taking off hand cuffs.

can you tell me what happened at the begining? I was late in the movie theater and I saw a guy taking off hand cuffs. The beginning has a voice-over monologue of Tommy Lee Jones' character talking about his various dealings as sheriff of the county. While this VO is going on, Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem's character) is being put into the back of a squad car. They then cut to a police station where the arresting officer is talking on the phone with his supervisor about the arrest. Chigurh is sitting behind him, and as he's talking on the phone he gets his cuffed hands in front of him by maneuvering them down and under his feet. As the officer says he's got everything under control, Chigurh lifts him up with the chain linking the cuffs together; both fall on the floor as the cop kicks and struggles while Chigurh strangles him with an almost orgasmic look in his eyes. After he dies, you see Chigurh washing his hands in the sink after removing the cuffs.

I just call it "Bad Haircuts For Dumb Men."
Seriously, I dont care how big a gun you have, you can't walk around trying to look like Prince Adam of Eternia and look like a badass.

It was set in 1980... Not exactly the hippest era for hairstyles. Javier was still a f***ing badass. The ending just sucked and ruined the whole movie.

I've never seen it and have absolutely zero interest in it. One of my friends just has an eternal hard-on for it and throws tremendous hissy fits when I make fun of the guy's hair. Yeah. I'm bored.

The scene where him and that older dude talk on his farm explains the title.

As I said, I was into it until the semi end, then it got all weird.
It wasn't a BAD movie, it was good, but it wasn't as good as everyone was telling me. As I said, I enjoyed everyone's performances, especially Josh Brolin's and Javier Bardem's.
Knowing me, I'll probably love the hell out of There Will Be Blood.
