A game I was kicking around the idea of buying was WWE Day of Reckoning 2 (or just the first one, couldn't decide which, but probably DOR2)...if I already own most of the Smackdown series, and FP Returns, and No Mercy, is there any reason for me to bother with this game?

I don't remember playing the second one, but Day of Reckoning has my all-time favorite CAW and entrance. Nathan Jones's theme FTW. Plus, I gave him Amazing Impact as his finisher and it would knock out damn near everyone on the first hit. I marked way out the first time I DDT'd someone through the Hell in a Cell and got a "holy shit" chant.
Also, it's gotta be, what, $6?

If ya can pick it up for $5 or something why not? It can be amusing for a while. If you're payin' much more than that, don't bother the games you already own are better

I think they both were fun games and, I have heard some call DOR the best wrestling game of the last gen systems, though I don't agree with that.
I will say that DOR has a real fun story mode, maybe one of the best in the WWE games.

DOR 1 is awesome. the CAW system in it is really well done. definitely the best wrestling title for the Gamecube (Did not care for DOR 2)

Honestly, I haven't played DoR since DoR2 came out. That's not saying it's bad--I guess I'm just a "that's enough, let's move on" type of guy.
Also, DoR2 had Christy Hemme.

The games go for what? Less than 15 bucks now? The games are pretty dang fun, especially if you've been disappointed by the Smackdown series as of late.

Plus, wrestling games are pretty easy to find used most of the time.
