Mean Gene could not make out Hogan's voice after so many years of working together? Even my mother knows what Hogan sounds like!

Hogan was using the Ole Anderson voice box to disguise his voice so that Gene couldn't recognize it and this was such a fantastic build.

Okerlund has a great way of making things sound epic...never mind that this was arguably the heel turn that will define modern wrestling for many years, Okerlund could be reading a grocery list and it'd be awesome.
"Tony, it's the shank of the evening here on Monday Nitro. Right now, I've got interview with a grocer for a WCW Superstar, and what the implications of his purchase might mean to the future of World Championship Wrestling..."

So it was Okerland for all those years that convinced Shiavonne that every Monday Nitro would be the biggest night in the history of our sport.

I like how he goes back at the end, possibly to do what Heenan suggested and bribe the guards.
