Probably, although I wouldn't rule out Warrior/Macho King. But if that was the case, who in the world would Hogan have feuded with?

I think this is the answer. Their Summerslam match was hardly a feud-ender, and the Survivor Series match was inconclusive, too. That was a major feud, and it would not have been unlike the WWF to stretch it all the way to Mania. Interesting that the decision to capitalize on the Gulf War by giving Slaughter the belt happened to coincide with the decision that Warrior was failing as the champion. If there had been no Slaughter/Iraq push, I think Quake would have been the one to take the belt off Warrior at the Rumble, setting up Hogan for the WM7 title win. And if they had decided to let Warrior keep the belt, I think he still would have feuded with Savage, and their match at WM7 likely would have been belt vs. career, with Hogan-Quake as a "double main event."

This is actually a good question. I don't think it would have been Earthquake because that feud has long since been played out by the time that WM7 came around. I think they probably would have gone with Hogan/Warrior 2 or possible Hogan vs. Undertaker.

I'm of the opinion that Undertaker wouldn't have been ready at that point with just a few months of build-up. With that said, the streak more than likely would have gone out the window then and there.

I am pretty sure Hulk/Warrior 2 would have been the plan. However, it's hard to imagine them coming up with a single heel for Warrior to fued with to get himself to WrestleMania 7 title in hand.

I'm wondering if with the Gulf war they stopped trying to push the Warlord. He fits in pretty perfectly with Hogan's style of monsterous heel opponents.

You're right on that one. I always thought it would be cool if they'd done a redux of Wrestlemania 6, and had Warrior vs. IC Champ Mr. Perfect at Wrestlemania. Hennig was about at his hottest during that time.

Hennig was about at his hottest during that time. They could have, considering they booked Boss Man to shit the bed. Seriously, how long did he fued with the Heenan Family? He had to beat every last member to get a shot at Perfect. So he does it....then doesn't get the IC title anyway. Perfect would have been ok, but I wouldn't have believed for a second Perfect could beat Warrior. He could make Warrior look like a million bucks, the bump machine Perfect was, but I couldn't see him pinning Warrior.
