Yeah... I'm way behind the times. Fun game.
I ended up having to look some stuff up as I thought I messed the game up to the point I couldn't do the main quest. Apparently I entered some dude's hut before I should've so instead of having me go get some magical bow or something, he just kept attacking me. I got mad and killed him... and then the dude in Balmora you're supposed to visit.
So... I had to beef up and kill Vivec.
Fun game. Although, after killing Vivec... everything else was a cakewalk in comparison. By that point I could kill almost any regular animal or criminal I met with one or two stabs.
I need to redecorate Vivec's crib, sometime.

Damn, you had to take the backpath character path. I'm actually impressed you had the patience to kill Vivec. I did it in one game, and it took me the better part of an hour, and that was WITH cheats.

I did it in one game, and it took me the better part of an hour, and that was WITH cheats. Well, I left the part out with cheats. ;D I tried two or three times without but dude's spells were too much. Sure, I could've probably done it with some crazy constant weapon or armor or some insane alchemy crap, but really... exploiting is the same as cheating, in my opinion. It took me probably ten-fifteen minutes with only the health cheat and a single Daedric Sword. I mean, I imagine with enough homemade restore health potions and enough custom made "100% weakness to fire/100 pt. fire attack" swords, I could've beat him, but why bother? And unfortunately he's a creature so I couldn't just sneak behind him and steal it from him or I would have. ...And again as he's a creature, I forgot the Umbra Sword I got so I didn't get a chance to soul trap him either. Ah well, now that the main quest is done I could soultrap the fat Dwemer dude if I wanted. Only thing that sucks was, when you do the "homemade Wraithguard", it backfires on it's first use and permanently does like 200 hp damage to your guy. So I went from 500 hp to a little under 300 and had to find some master trainers to build myself up. Still with the 300, I cleared house in Dagoth Ur with no real problem.

I actually did the backpath after the main quest, and ended up getting both Wraithguards. This is possible because one is for the right hand and the other is for the left (or sinister) hand.

I just started playing Morrowind on Xbox yesterday. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do and I love it. Exploring and figuring things out yourself in this game is fun.

I spent WAYYYY more time than I ever needed to my first play through on the first dungeon just because I didn't see a staircase that took me right where I needed to go.

Wait, it's possible to beat Morrowind?
I thought that was the game that didn't end.

It's a lot more fun then Oblivion, but not as polished. I'm glad to see this thread, it ameks me want to play Morrowind again.

I tried Morrowind for a couple of days a long time ago and...I just got bored really, really easily. Oblivion is engaging to me. So yeah...to each, their own.

I cannot disagree with that. There are lots of things I like about Oblivion, too. Morrowind can be very boring. You get to a point where you can beat everything no matter what.

Do what I did. Run around killing random male citizens and strip them of all clothing, put them in a dress and leave them with exactly one septim.
