It's a toss up for me. Jim Carrey seems to be turned up to 11 from the ads I've seen for HORTON. But Robin Williams had MAN OF THE YEAR and that one where he's the priest trying to get Jim from the OFFICE to not marry Mandy Moore and that was basically "Here's every Robin Williams joke" NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM almost saved him, but he does it at the end.

I'll still take both of them over Will Farrell and Ben Stiller.

Ahh, I know both men are capable of more(or giving less if you know what I mean) I blame Hollywood. Carrey's great and Robin is a genius-it's just about picking up a paycheck now-noone's hungry anymore because they've made it

I don't know why Williams doesnt stay with the dramatic stuff. He was great in Insomnia.

At least Robin Williams and Jim Carrey both had EXCELLENT drama works that showcased zip of their comedic talents. Snitsky on the other foot...

I know it seems unpopular these days, but I really really like Jim Carrey.

Well, on the off-chance I get the opportunity, I'd be more likely to see "Horton Hears A Who" than like "License to Wed" or something, so my vote's for Robin Williams.

Jim Carrey turned up to 11 is rough. Although while turned up to 11 he can still be funny (ex: Liar Liar, Ace Ventura)
Robin Williams turned up to 11 is unbearable to the point where I'd rather sit down and watch CRASH than listen to him. (ex: his stand-up since 1995)

Carrey's problem is that he's NOT turned up to 11 these days. His best stuff(Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura) was his craziest.

Jim Carrey hasn't done a true comedy in years. And Horton is a cartoon (of sorts) -- he's SUPPOSED to be turned up to 11.
Carrey is a freaking genius. He should have won an Oscar for Eternal Sunshine, and noboy will convince me otherwise.

By "Turned to 11" I was also referring to Carrey wearing elephant ears while in the AMERICAN IDOL audience

"Man Of The Year" wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be. I actually enjoyed it a little bit.
"License to Wed", meanwhile, is completely horrible, although Robin Williams was the best part of the movie.
I still say Robin Williams though, as Carrey has had less flops in my eyes (Fun With Dick & Jane, 23, The Majestic).

I can't stand Robin Williams so I voted for him. Carrey has come out with some movies I've liked over the past couple years: Fun With Dick and Jane, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Bruce Almighty, hell I even loved Me, Myself and Irene but that one's nearly a decade old now. My how time flies.

Carrey and Williams are underrated actors.
Williams comedy stuff like Eddie murphy is marketed towards the idiots.
Carrey has had A LOT of great comedies and movies in general under his belt. I loved Bruce Almighty...but 23 was just kinda boring.
I love cartoons and well Carrey and Carrell play really well off of each other.
Carrey has always been over the top, but he seems more subdued as Horton.

Robin Williams is nothing but annoying.
Hasn't been funny to me since he was in "Death to Smoochy".

I prefer Robin Williams, because I find that he's better at the dramatic roles than Carrey. Not that I find Jim Carrey bad in dramatic roles; I loved him in "The Truman Show." I just think Williams is the better dramatic actor. However, I find them both equally funny.
That said, I voted for Snitsky. ;D
