So I was surfing the net this morning during my break and found this little gem. Allow me to set it up. The article was dealing with the best and worst workplace firings in history...
*drumroll*
"I worked for and executive car and limo service in NYC. I was working with a guy who was obsessed with the pro wrestler Rick Flair. It was a Saturday, late afternoon, and we had gotten busy. I was busy taking the orders on the phone when he yells over to me to give a driver out of town directions to pick up a client. I told him nicely that I had many phones on hold and for him to do it himself. He got huffy with me and came over to where I was and got right in to my face. I stood up and he grabbed me. He was a little smaller than I was, but he was in to body building and was strong. He picked me up and body slammed me down on the floor. On the way down I tried to brace for the impact and I wound up with a dislocated big toe on the right foot. I had the police and EMS there and was transported to a hospital where my toe was reset back into place. I could not walk on it for about a week. I was told not to go back to work for at least three weeks. Well, when I called to let them know I was going to be back I was told not only was I fired but I was replaced by a computer and the other guy still had his job and was there until about a year ago."
Who's Rick Flair? It doesn't add up at all, actually. Wouldn't the police have investigated the matter further and decided whether or not to press charges? If it did actually happen, I wish I could've been a fly on the wall for that one. Holy smurf.
