When I'm out with a female who is just a friend, I tone it down a bit; when I'm out with my girlfriend, absolutely. I hold doors and all that goofy s***.

Most of the time, just not to the coat across the puddle stage. I actually feel like punching the guy who pushes past women on the bus in the morning though, just wait asshole. I can see why many men don’t though.
Also if you hold a door open for old women they’ll almost never say thanks.

Absolutely. Interestingly though, when I do my part most women look at me like I'm an alien or something.

The girl I am with right now loves it. Holding doors open, opening car doors and offering my jacket.

I guess some is chivalry and some is common courtesy - I hold open the door for the person behind me, man or woman.

Always.
Obviously there are different levels, depending on whom I'm with, when and where. But I pride myself on being an old-school gentleman.
Sadly, that doesn't work often nowadays.
