Holy CRAP!
That was the most smurfed up episode in the series yet, but the demise of L was...believe it or not, very unexpected to me. In retrospect, you can totally see it coming, yeah. But when it happens, it was just so...holy crap. I figured he'd stick around longer than that.
Rem's dead, Missa's probably going to be dead, and Light is pretty much on top of the world.
BTW, there were a lot of really "...wtf" moments in this episode, eh? The musical number of sorts and the last interaction that had very...ehm...homosexual overtones between Light and L. Yeah.
God, I'm in love with this series.

Just wait until for Bleach next week. Since the next few episodes of Bleach is going to the most What the smurfed moment right after and after and after.
And I agreee that music was freaky on tonight's Death Note.

L's death is seriously where the series should have ended.
Now you'll have to deal with Near and Mello....little L's in training. And both are just as eccentric. One is madly in love with chocolate, the other is crazy about toys...and it makes sense, as he is a little boy, not a day over 10 from the last time I remembered. And both are SMARTER than L.
Oh, and Misa Amane isn't going anywhere for a long time.
Just wait a few more weeks guys. Soon, my current favorite anime series will be showing in the US on Adult Swim. Its name is Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, and it is hella awesome, and has some FINE women in it.
