I finally am moving out of my parents house (again). About three years ago I moved out and did fine considering I was royally screwed over by 2 sets of roommates who didn't think it was a big deal if I paid all of the bills myself. I was getting by, but just barely. Then when my year lease was up I got a letter from the landlord/apartment complex that rent was going up $150/month. I then had to call my parents and ask to move back home and they let me. So now fastforward to the present and I am in a slightly better financial position and am able to move out again and need the privacy badly. I am excited to be able to have that privacy and honestly can't wait to do so. This time however I will be living on my own, no roommates. I made that mistake once and will never, ever make it again. Anyone have any advice or similar experiences?

Budgeting is very important, as is making the place completley your own. Make sure parents visiting know it is your place, and not theirs for the time they are there.
