The problem isn't with Google or YAHOO!.
You might be using too much CPU.
You said it "doesn't load"?? ... is the link timing out? ... are you getting a "cannot find site"... ... is the page loading, but not the search? ... is this happening with other sites, too? other searches?
ALWAYS try a reboot first. lol. Also, turn off your modem for 30 seconds, then on again. ... make sure you dont have a CD, DVD, or Game disk in the drive.
Then, if you think you screwed up your 'settings':
...Try a "SYSTEM RESTORE" (this is usually a cure-all). Just reset to a date before the problem started (it's easy and you can always 'undo' just as easily).
...Or try uninstalling Mozilla Firefox, then reinstalling it .... (prolly what you use).
If you're still messed up... come on MSN... I'll be on tonight.
WARNING: if you've never done a 'restore' before, DO NOT get confused between a "restore" and a "recovery".
Restore - resets all your 'settings' to an earlier date, while leaving all your files and programs in tact (easy to change back).
Recovery - erases all programs and files... puts hard-drive back to factory condition (say goodbye to all acquired docs, pics, vids, programs, etc...) .
