I was just wondering what some of you crappers think are the best story arcs in comic books, DC, Marvel etc. So any suggestions as well as why you think so would be Awesome.

hmm..
Batman: The Long Halloween - definitive origin story of Two-face, a great mystery and it features pretty much every major member of Batman's rogues gallery in a prominent role (except the Penguin, I have no idea why he's in it). plus, Tim Sale's art is great.
X-men: The Age of Apocalypse - Epic in scope, and probably my favorite alternate reality story.
X-men: Mutant Massacre - one of the few times a comic has made me cry.
Justice Society of America: Stealing Thunder - a great altered future story that shows just how cool Jakeem Thunder is, how badass Hourman is, and it totally sold me on Power Girl. plus, the banter between Sandman and Icicle is some funny stuff.
Justice Society of America: Black Reign - the best story of the entire second volume, this story defined Black Adam. plus, you can never go wrong with Rags Morales' art.
Identity Crisis - a lot of people don't like the left field ending (I disagree, but then I mark for Eclipso) but I think it's one of the best super-hero stories ever written. it really asks a lot of important questions about secret identities, and really reaffirms the concept.
The Authority: Shiftships - The Authority against an evil alternate reality england? sign me up for a great story featuring some of the most twisted villains I've ever read and the best super-hero action ever depicted, bar none.
The Authority: Under New Management - Mark Millar pens a hilariously awesome story where the Authority set out their plan for a better world and fight a WAR against an army consisting of extremely thinly veiled homage to a certain other comic universe.
The Flash: Rogue War - the ultimate culmination of everything Geoff Johns had worked to on the title, it features the Flash in a war against his arch-rival Zoom, one of the many returns of Barry Allen, the best Rogues Gallery in comics fighting amongst themselves with the Twin Cities at stake, and a denouement where Wally and Linda are rewarded for all the crap they just had to put up with. that they put the West Family on a bus after this still doesn't sit right with me.
The Avengers: The Kree-Skrull War - without gushing too much, this is my favorite Marvel Silver Age story. it's by far my favorite Avenger line up in a story that's been reattempted a dozen times since then without even half the style.
Astro City: The Tarnished Angel - a paroled ex-supervillain gets in over his head with his past but refuses to give up. it's a window into the lives of the families of Super-villains and it suggests reasons for a turn to crime other than the most obvious ones. easily the best arc of the series.

Daredevil - born Again - sorry but I feel this is superior to DK. Frank Miller at his absolute finest.
Batman - Knightfall is obvious, but No Man's Land is really good.
X-Men - I really enjoyed the Age of Apocalypse.
Spiderman - Maximum Carnage, that's right I said it.
Iron Man - Demon in a Bottle
Punisher - Usually, not a fan, but Garth Ennis's treatment of him was incredible.

Baking powder? Are you serious? The artwork was lush, but as far as writing, that was terrible! I knew who the villain was before I even knew there was a villain!

Also, I highly recommend Daredevil: Guardian Devil. (ZOMG!1!11 QUE5AD4 IZ TEH AN7I CHRIST!1!!111!) i don't, not because Joe Q is sometimes a moron, but because anyone can write a good story when the main character doesn't have to be in character (see: Green arrow: Quiver). Now, for something that IS great, Daredevil: Born Again, which is the premier story for Matt. Also, Starman 0-80, because I'm a Jack Knight mark. Amazing Spider-Man, 229-230 is also great, and hits some great core bits of the character. For those who don't know, its the infamous Spider-Man/Juggernaut battle.

I don't get all the Hush hate. yeah the villain swerve was kinda lame and if it really was Jason Todd it woulda been much better (way better than when they actually DID bring him back... eesh), but as far as the story goes, I thought it was great. it actually made me care about The Riddler for the first time ever.
