Time does exist. It's a crock that people are always stating that it doesn't. Time is the 4th dimension. Man made concept? So no time would have ever of passed if human beings had never of been? How would the planets have formed if not for the passage of time? Talk about egotistical. Geez, sorry. I wasn't trying to be egotistical. Time is a measurement. Just like a meter or a gallon. Those are man made things and you can't manipulate them. A meter is a meter is a meter. Where am I going wrong?

OK listen up kiddie koo's Uncle Frankie is gonna set you stright about so me things. As of right now this instant we cannot time travel. However if we could figure out how to get to them, using worm holes in space it is theoretically possible to go into the future. We are pretty much 100% sure that travel to the future is possible. As of right now however it is absolutely impossible to travel backward in time. Even as a theoretical possibility we have no idea how we could do it. The best we could come up with is if we could make worm holes portable we could leave one in the present and take the other end of it into the future with us so we could return back to our time.
So basically anything that happens before we discover how to make portable worm holes is lost to time forever.

I thoerize (not for sure though) that shadow people en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_people are time travelers and that's why they don't want to be seen by us on our plain. I've heard that today it's capable but only if you start it from today's time and come back to it years an years later. I'm not going to trust a guy with Bob Barker giving an elbow drop on Grover as his signature with my quantum mechanics. I, for one, believe in negative energy being used to harness squeezed quantum states. Like wormholes.

Chuck Norris is so badass he traveled back in time to stop the kennedy assassination. When Oswalt shot Chuck Norris jumped in front of the bullets and stopped them with his beard....JFK's head exploded from sheer amazement.
Sorry...just had to share that.....

However, Time is not a measurement, it is a measurable. Seconds, minutes and hours are measurements of time. It is accurate that those measurements are synthetic, but can be used universally. A second on Earth, is still a second on Mars. Now days and years are NOT measures of time. Days are measures of Earth rotation, and years are measures of Earth orbits

You wouldnt destroy the universe. It would just spawn an alternate reality. There is an infinite number of possible realities for every possible choice made anywhere that all exist simultaneously. As I post this new realities are being formed.
Here's a hint time travel involves crossing an event horizon.

That was the concept behind Sliders Oh...hmpf I'll take your word for that. I still think it makes more sense then paradox.

It won't be possible until we've created a way to bend space. We won't ever be able to just blast off in a machine and go really, really fast and be back in time. You gotta begin at bending space.

The CERN labratory in Switzerland is going to be testing out their new particle accelarator this month and the results could shed some light on this issue....no pun intended.
BYW... anyone ever heard of the John Titor story? I so do you think it's real or a hoax?

Ask John Titor. I mean he is a time traveler.
And he should be like 7 or 8 now according to the Blogs. So Lets go find that punk kid and ask him how he will do it in the future.

I know they can teleport particles. John Titor?? HOAX. Giant hoax. Massive hoax. A hoax.

Watch the movie Primer. That should help shed some light on this whole time travel subject. Actually, scratch that. It'll just confuse the hell outta you even more.

I had it in my head they got some time travel out of that as well. My bad.

Look, the existance of time as a concern of Physics is proven in the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Matter and Energy are not static properties, rather are subject to entropy. At moment A on the tau Axis, there was less useless background heat than at moment B on the tau axis.
I think it's one of those things like FTL travel. Possible, but highly unlikely.

I would think that, if we can figure out how to make a digital "camera" travel faster than the speed of light, the camera could record the past, in reverse. Then, the footage could be reversed back to normal, and adjusted to normal speed. This would make a recording of the past from all light that reached the area of that camera. Eventually, if done enough times and over enough area, it would create a "walk-through" of sorts into the past, through virtual reality.
All extremely complicated, and it would not allow someone to influence the past, only observe it. Of course, the whole thing hinges on developing the capability of getting a physical object to break the speed of light, and I don't know if we will ever have that technology.
