Slow, slow, SLOW! After death, when rigor mortis sets in, no ones gonna be sprinting after a victim. and at the same time it makes it seem like they know they are gonna f*** you up anyway, so they can take their time.

Thing is, logically, on a world full of slow zombies, given enough time you could eliminate them all. Think about it- you and a bunch of others. Bomb around in cars, switching vehicles when neccessary or filling up on deserted gas stations, on a rota so there's always somebody driving, that way no zombie can ever catch you. Load up with guns, breaking into a military base if need be. Blow zombie brains out, and sooner or later you'll have got rid of them all, so the survivors scattered around the world will be safe. Or at last you'll have wiped out all the zombies on your continent so you will be safe at least. What about when you get engine problems? Who's going to change your oil? Who's going to restock the gas stations? Gun jams? What if the military base is already infested? Ammo in short supply?

Fast zombies of course! The only thing that impresses me with slow zombies is how their victims have a complete lack of survival instinct and somehow manage to get eaten alive by something that moves as slowly as slugs. Seriously, they wouldn't even need to run to escape from them, they could just WALK and they'd still outrun the damned zombies so HOW THE F DO THEY MANAGE TO GET CAUGHT??!!!

I really, really like this thread. But yeah, fast zombies scare me more, so I pick them.

Slow Zombies. Not Only Are They A Good Idea...They're The Law. Read a human biology book sometime, folks. Agreed 100%. I think it should depend on the time the zombie has been deceased to tell the truth. A newly dead zombie MIGHT be able to sprint/run, but one that's been in the ground for a two or more years shouldn't be able to manage more than a slow shuffle.
