I should also point out he has to face everyone without the aid of Snarf, Jaga, The claw sheild or the sword of omens.

I just watched these again earlier today and I realized something. Lion-o is supposed to do the trials without any help. Cheetara helps him hide from the mutants in the trial of speed. The blind cave people rescue him from falling in lava in the trial of cunning. And tygra helps him escape the mutants in the trial of mind power.
So since he got help on three occasions would that mean he's not the true lord of the thundercats?

I don't think any of that would really count, since the whole trials are interferred by Mumm-ra and his henchmen. The trials were all supposed to be strictly between Lion-O and whichever Thundercat he was facing...when others interfer, everything is off.

The trials were all supposed to be strictly between Lion-O and whichever Thundercat he was facing...when others interfer, everything is off. they do try to say that there's a few times when they say "we can't let them interfere with the trials" But Lion-O should have been able to handle it himself since he was the lord of the thundercats. They made it look like he can't do anything without the sword to call his buddies. But I"ll give the two mutant attacks a pass. In the trial of cunning he was hanging from a cliff because he was trying to save the thunderkittens. The cave people then pulled him up. which again showed that lion-o really can't do to much without help.
