Hey John,
I was wondering if you watch the NBA(I don't really) and what your thoughts were on fellow BC boy Steve Nash beating out Shaq for the MVP this year?

Thankfully this wasn't about Kevin Nash being MVP of something...
I'm not Mr. Tenta, but I think it should have gone to Iverson. Nash did do a lot for his team, but Q-Rich being there certainally helped, as well as a full season from Stoudamire. The new coach also helped. I think Nash was definately a great addition to Phoenix and should have been in the conversation for MVP, but I would personally put Iverson for single handedly taking the Sixers on his back into the playoffs.

I'm not a huge basketball fan, but watch most any sport during playoffs. I am a Shaq fan (an LSU boy!), but it really doesn't matter to me who wins the MVP since I'm not knowledgeable enough. Do you think the Heat can make it to the finals? I'm sorry, I'm just not a Kobe fan, and would like Shaq shoved in his face. ;D I have to ask Ian-how did you get that medal around your neck, and please let us know a little about you. What did you win it for? 'Quake

Oh, the medal? That was from the league championship in basketball last year (high school). I was little more than a role player during my junior year, but we had an incredible run to make it to our league playoffs. We went 6-1 in our last seven games, leapfrogging two teams in our division to win the division title. Then we beat Northern Lehigh in the league semi-final, a team we had lost once to in the regular season. In the final, we beat Notre Dame-Green Pond, a team who blew us out in our second game of the season, and the only team whom we, narrowly, lost to in that run of seven must win games.
The atmosphere of that game was amazing; we nearly sold out a 3,000 seat gym that night for the Colonial League Championship game, and we delivered with a one point victory over a team who the paper, the Morning Call, gave a 5 point victory margin to.

I had an even more exciting sports moment last year though than that. Our baseball team made it to the second round, the final 8, of the Pennsylvania State playoffs. We had won the District XI title, something our basketball team could not do after winning the league, and finished the final with a 4 run win over our rival school Southern Lehigh, who we had split the season series with 1-1. Our most exciting win came in the first round of states when we won 6-5 in 8 innings after the catcher for Nanacoke fumbled a curve ball to the backstop allowing our runner on third to score. I felt really bad for that catcher; he had played AMAZING up until that point. He threw out two of our runners who tried to steal. He was a senior, too; what a play to go out on... Anyways, a little about me. I'm a senior at Salisbury High School. I've lettered in three varsity sports, baseball, basketball, and cross country, and have also lettered in debate, drumline, and Scholastic Scrimmage. I'm graduating as class president, and have been president for all four years of high school. I have signed my letter of intent to attend NYU next year, in the honors program, at Steinhardt School of Education. I have been invited to try out for the baseball team there. My goals in life include to be a broadcaster on my own television show or to be a member of the ESPN broadcasting family in some capacity. Pro wrestling is sort of my way to escape things and it makes me feel really good about life. It entertains me. I've been a fan of wrestling ever since I can remember, and I have a strange memory. I can remember about as far back as right before your debut. I remember watching Sumerslam '89 with my family and some of the neighborhood. My favorite wrestlers when I was young was the Texas Tornado, Kerry Von Erich, and the Hammer, Greg Valentine. Sorry Mr. Tenta, just way too mean for my tastes . My favorites right now include AJ Styles, the Naturals, Mohammed Hassan, and Paul London. There's a little about me, hope I didn't bore you , -Ian

Say Ian, I just noticed while looking at your sig and your photos in the other thread (you have a very good way with women I see btw), maybe it's just me, but I sort of see a slight resemblence between you and Brock Lesnar. Don't take that as an insult, just a strange little though I had was all.

Quake! Do you have any preference to who you would like to win the nba title?. I'm a sixer fan and, we all know what happened there. I don't care who wins as long as it's not the heat. The west is far better in my opinion. Look out for the spurs, but detroit is probably the favorite to repeat. what do i know?

LOL, good way with the ladies? Just luck, I suppose. I just post the pics with the really good looking ones to show off ; of those girls, I've only ever dated the one from the newspaper clipping. All of them, though, are incredibly nice girls, real sweethearts. Believe it or not, I have been told I look like Lesnar before, but I get that I look like Val Kilmer more often. lol, oh well. -Ian

Nash did deserve MVP....no matter what people say....Phoenix was in last place last year and first place this year...when Nash was out for several games...Phoenix lost every game without him....trust me...he is MVP...and hopefully if his game keeps getting better....HOF...I can always dream ;D

You think that's something. When I was young I joined a football/soccer team. The 1st game I played in the match finished 25-1 Sure we were the losing side but we give the crowd some excitment ;D
